Some door openers limit the number of opening devices (buttons) you can program to open a door, including homelink buttons. It won’t accept new buttons until you clear out the old ones. It’s a pain to deal with, but solved a similar problem I previously had.

I don’t disagree; however, I’m one of those people that threw the key fobs in a drawer on delivery day and have not used them since. My phone key works well and I really didn’t want to carry a key fob in my pocket. Of course, everyone is different.

How do you know they are not? The price of the car has gone up, but how do you know it would not have gone up more for those items to be included? Only Tesla’s internal documents will tell us this and we will never see them.

I walk up to the car with the phone in my pocket and the door opens like magic. I don’t have to touch the phone to do this. So, it operates just like the fob in that respect. You just have to make sure the app is always running in the background.

If it was available at the time you ordered you should receive it. I ordered in April 2021 and took delivery on 6/27/2022 and the mobile charger was included.

Mobile charger with 240 and NEMA 14-50 works great with my MXLR. I charge it up to 80% or 90% every night with no problems.

If they do it the way they did the mobile charger, it will be based on order date, not delivery date. However, Tesla can and will do it however they want.

Honestly not surprised about this. With phone key, a fob is not necessary. My fobs are sitting in a drawer. My 2020 Model 3 was not delivered with a fob and I never thought about needing one. Just like the mobile charger, they are an add-on for those who need them.

That VIN is not that old. I took delivery of a 3408xx last week that was built in April. You can call Tesla and they will tell you build date.

Not necessarily. I added it and it did not move up the order. I then removed FSD from the order and changed my interior color and got a VIN two weeks later.

That’s ridiculous and must be at the whim of the local SC. I took delivery yesterday in GA and they gave me all the time I needed to inspect the car inside and out. So, it is not corporate policy. Nicely ask to speak to the manager and plead your case. Good luck!

This is exactly right. Don’t give them your trade or sign paperwork until after you inspect the new car and are ready to accept delivery.
