My vin is nearly identical and build date is 5/12. While vins aren’t always perfectly sequential, I think you can be assured you are getting May build.

As expected, all of the EDD panic was for naught… My MXP order shifted again overnight. Like someone else on here, I went from generic “October” to 6/18-7/23. Which means, “brace yourself for the EOQ push but no promises that you’re going to get a car”.

Everyone needs to stop panicking. This entire week has been filled with EDDs pushing back. I'd give Tesla until Monday to get things sorted, but based on an extrapolation of what we have in this forum, there's zero chance they will even scratch at their production goals if these all stay pushed...

It seems like a number of folks here (myself included) had late May EDDs disappear. Hard to know what’s going on. Maybe a production delay of some kind? An error with their forecasting engine? Or just the general schizophrenia of the overall system? Only time will tell!

Good heads up! I’ve also found if you’re flexible in terms of exact specs AND have a helpful local SA they will often be willing to update your configuration to create a match to a canceled order so the VIN will assign to you. Which can accelerate things.

Can someone please confirm that even the 20” MXP wheels come with performance tires, not all-seasons?

Since the pandemic turned vehicles into an appreciating asset for at least another 18-24 months, it makes zero logical sense to lease. And even moreso with the immediate upside you'll have in a Tesla due to the pricing shifts.

FWIW the plaid badge is fairly easy to remove (with a hair dryer and dental floss), or any reputable shop can do it for you. I plan to have it removed when I install PPF.

It’s amazing how many of these end up with paint chips. Completely unacceptable and much more cumbersome to fix than scratches, misaligned doors, etc. It’s the main reason I passed on my MXP opportunity.
