Since OP is also open to a Model X, I presume they are okay with foregoing cars with EV rebates. And with almost $10K markups (at least in California) for all these vehicles are not too far off from Tesla prices.

Please keep an eye out for "inventory" vehicles but they go very fast (especially these days with long wait times). The other option would be to be open for MY Performance, if that fits your budget, which may be available a bit sooner. Good luck 👍

You can always skip the VIN (decline delivery), and ask for your account to be on hold until you are ready for delivery. Just in case your reservation transfer doesn't go through.

Update: Unsuccessful in transferring even to someone in the same area and same config, kept the reservation, rejected VIN, put account on hold to buy Model 3 later.

Yes, with 330 miles and price adjustment, it seems this was a "demo" vehicle.

I would check with Tesla before doing that; I have heard different versions of this (especially pertaining to MY configs that were $5K cheaper last year)
