Nothing at all. After I have a software update downloaded and before I install it, I cut all power to the amp via the circuit breaker. I allow the software update to complete installation and then I reengage the circuit.

I did install adjustable camber and toe arms in the rear but I’m not sure what that has to do with the creaking sound in the front of the vehicle which is the focus of this thread.

For what it’s worth I’m running Redwood Motorsports Ohlins DFV Performance Sport Coilovers on Swift Springs; Aluminum Top Hats, Factory FUCA. I get that same creaking noise going in and out of driveways at times. I’ve looked everything over and it all seems good so I’m not overly concerned.

Not to mention the insurance implications. You could expect an increase in premiums across the board for ‘23 Model Ys if they’re being fitted with factory PPF. That’s just an added cost to cover in the event of bumper replacement.

Truth be told it fits like $hit on a ‘22 as well; the sound isn’t that impressive either. The latter might just require additional tuning on my end. If I could do it all again I would install one 12 in a custom box mounted in the sub-trunk.

I’m also running the XLCA2X but it’s set to Aud and not DC offset. I may change that as well. I may switch to the 500 rms amp if the 1000W amp is the culprit. I’ll report back tomorrow with some more news (hopefully good news).

From the penthouse and also I reused the same ground bolt and location as the factory amp ground.

It’s happened twice since Saturday. I installed everything on Tuesday/Wednesday of last week. Tomorrow I plan on doing what @C-Bus Y and @TwoK4drSi suggested to me over PM and start by disconnecting the LOC trying to update and then swap my amp ground point.

I have my VAD10001 installed in the same sub-trunk as the NVX install vid. I know my amp is not getting that hot because I haven't been able to use it that much since the last two days I've had my kids in the car most of the time. I'll report back after this weekend.
