My wife just got sideswiped while driving our new 2022 Model X on the highway. Please tell me Tesla saved the video somewhere! I did NOT insert a USB drive (I never had a dashcam before and never thought about it). Does it save accident footage somewhere even without a USB?

I found this thread interesting, since my other electric car is a BMW i3. The i3 has no variable charging limit (though it does reserve a little in the pack) so when it's plugged in it will charge all the way to 100% and stay there, even if pre-conditioning is used. The i3 is positively scary...

Excellent review! I agree with most, though I must say we got phantom braking much more often. Enough that my wife said no using cruise or auto steer any time she's in the car. And the dental drill whine is the same for us on hard acceleration.

The phantom braking issue is horrible, especially in areas like Ohio with fast 2-lane roads. We experienced it repeatedly within an hour of taking deliver of our new Model X and it almost made us want to take the car back to Tesla and get our old Ford back. For now I'm not using cruise on these...

We ordered on June 17 and had a date as late as July before they surprised us with delivery yesterday! Our VIN is very close to yours and is definitely a newly-built 2022.

I used the Tesla VIN decoder to check mine, which is just 850 earlier than yours. The N indicates 2022, which is very relieving after reading about people receiving 2021s in March!
