I spoke to the Tesla support yesterday and they confirmed that they have started delivering vehicles at a good pace after retrofitting the charge port ECU. They are expecting all backlog to be cleared within a week to 10 days max. Hold tight.....you aren't far from getting your car

After reading all stories about delays, I (thinking smartly) ordered all this stuff a week after I got my VIN on Apr 25. Tesla played even smarter with me by shipping my vehicle without the ECU charge port and I am still waiting for the car. Wait is still ON.....

I was told yesterday that it shall be another 1-2 weeks for the bulk shipment to arrive in Miami. Definitely not good, considering that most of us have been waiting with a VIN for a month already.

They are referring to a vague "end of month" date to just get you off their back, probably. In all honesty (from what I gather so fa); they do not have an ETA for the bulk shipment as yet.

To give you guys company in this agonising wait, there are many of Tesla's forgotten customers like me, who received their VINs a month ago and are still waiting for a delivery date confirmation.

Agree in totality. Even with the shortages, they could ration the parts between producing new cars and the ones already held up at delivery centers. Both customers should be equally important for Tesla. I am sure that at Tesla's, they have better insight into firm timelines....the big issue...

I have begun to think that they really don't care about us anymore. We are the mercy of someone waking up in their management one day and getting the missing parts for us. The local guys at the delivery centers are pretty useless in my opinion. They are nothing more than glorified translators...

Who knows that they take more than 2 months to replace the defective batteries, if any. The situation is going to be even more terrible then...being without a car for 2 months while paying the bank and insurance too

It truly falls under "misery loves company". I guess all of us in Waiting Game Part II are more helpless than our buddies who are waiting for the VINs. They atleast have the consolation of order months & order dates to observe. We are the forgotten and abandoned Tesla customers....

I agree totally....Tesla has not spared any effort to ruin our new car experience. At this point, I am not even excited anymore. Any new delay story from them and I shall simply delete the app too and wait till they call me for a delivery (if they do)

If the number is area code 510; then it is a company wide number that the SA use for texting customers. Recently, I enquired about Tesla solar roof also and someone from their Nevada office is communicating with me via the same 510 number.

All the VINs are encouraging surely, but the EDD are changing even after allocation of VINs. Mine has changed twice, since the allocation of VIN 2 weeks ago. It jumped twice by 3-4 days each time. Latest one is May 16 - May 20 now. Keeping fingers crossed.....
