In order to install the tail lights, you need to remove alot of trunk lining. Same for the trunk. Once lights are installed, you’ll need to replace the lining back. Sounds easy enough, but time consuming to remove and replace without breaking any tabs or push pins.

This is exactly what I did as I have a Jan 22 msp. Other than the coding, everything was plug and play. But there’s a lot of things to remove and replace, mainly interior covers. It would be a nice weekend project but well worth it.

Perhaps have a live session with Teams so we can all watch and chat about it 😉

Another option is to just code your tails to global. That’s what I did with the evoffer tails

So legacy x can one day upgrade to matrix ?

I spoke to the company which is working with alpharex to resolve the issue. Basically the adapters for NA cars are not yet ready. (Adapters isolate brake and turn signals)

Have something similar as I have two teslas. Mx has working UWB, Ms seems to not work

Yes I just went with the Tesla mainly to have it all covered under warranty.

Last I spoke with them .. it’s the NA issue. The adapters aren’t working so production has not started.

My msp 24.8.7 has the update, my car’s bt to open the doors is not any better. But the uwb in the mxp is much better. Not sure my msp even has uwb 😂

The rears are identical except the larger red faux caliper cover. But pads on each corner are the higher thermal pads and new lines.

Tools used is tesware and toolbox3. Even if you had access to the software, you’ll also need higher access to modify and test.

I remember reading this 6yrs ago I also know the exact location where it happened. When i use AP around these types of bends where there’s a split, i grasp the wheel with both hands incase the car tries to veer last second. RIP

Also note that you can adjust up/down and left/right (in service mode) digitally.

AFAIK the alpharex for NA is not yet an available. I’m doing all I can to hold on to my old plaid until the new one comes out. New seats, front camera and ambient rgb would be nice

If the SC won’t install it because you don’t have a plaid, perhaps try to buy the rears only and paint the fronts. Or contact tom@eas.

I got it on my 23 mxp from update 24.2.3 but nothing on my 22 msp yet which is already 24.8.4. I heard it should happen on 24.8.7 😉

It’s a 2023 mxp but missed the matrix and red calipers. I did the matrix myself but had Tesla do the red calipers. Now I can see the matrix and red calipers on my app.

Is this a refresh 21 ? When I upgraded my 22 w/ track package brakes, it also included update knuckles to fit the new calipers. I sold the calipers and included the knuckles, but I don’t think the buyer would ever use the knuckles. If you looking for knuckles, some track package guys may...

YMMV agreed. When I plugged them in all 3 projectors were on. I waited 20min and unplugged them, to avoid battery drain. Another friend of mine had to swap his LV battery before he could continue coding.

I’ve done those a few times now. I recommend plugging in the matrix, right before the coding begins. Because the matrix is not yet updated the car so the lights may be constant on. If left in too long, the LV battery will complain and may drain.
