Great station because it's covered and a Whole Foods is right there with nice restrooms and fresh food for the road.

This is a nice station. Used it after midnight on the way back from the total solar eclipse in Dallas. Nobody else was there. Easy access and well lit at night. Nothing open nearby at that hour, but I didn't expect anything. :)

Thanks for the info. I've read about this happening elsewhere, and some people thought it was to sell the copper. Others pointed out that you won't get much for that little copper, so it's more likely EV-hating saboteurs. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and not a sign of more to come...

Was the vandalism just someone turning off the circuit breaker? Years ago kids would play pranks by switching off people's main panel circuit breaker.

Interesting that it sill doesn't show up in the app for me, though it does in the car. I rebooted my phone and tried different things. The Superchargers all around Post do show up in the app (Plainview, Lubbock, Midland, Big Spring, Sweetwater).

I'll be coming from Roswell, so I plan on heading east on US-380, which runs into Post, then US-84 down to I-20 and points east. Lubbock would be only 21 mi out of the way, but Plainview would be 77 mi out of the way. :cool: Will be interesting to see if there are as many wind turbines on that...

When charging times were longer that was a bigger deal, but these days with a 15 to 20-min charge (or less), there's not enough time to have a meal. That happened to me at a Supercharger, and because my burger took an extra 5 minutes, I barely had time to eat it before my car was charged...

I had a similar smooth buying experience of a 2022 Model 3 LR AWD that I picked up on 2021-12-20. Easy, quick, friendly, no issues. Such a nice experience versus putting up with very unpleasant stealer dealer experiences in times past. :)

Great trip report! I have a 2022 M3 AWD, which has a bit more range, and that has come in handy. Official range when new was 358 mi, and now it's about 345 mi, so about 3.6% battery degradation in 2 yrs 2 months. That extra range will help in eastern NM. Nice that you gained 7% SOC on the way...
