Also, keep in mind the connector knows which tail it attaches to, and sets max current accordingly. So no matter what adapter you put on with the 5-15 original tail, the max current is 12A.

I also made a 2200 miles trip with my 1 month old MYP. Paid FSD for a month also, and it was so bad I rarely engage it now. Too many unnecessary hard brakes and often it can't decide where to go.

I'm totally confused about Tesla charging schedule setup. With my Mach e, I setup a range, say 9pm - 9pm. As long as the car is plugged in within this range and below charging percentage it would charge. I don't even know how Tesla schedule works. If I set to 9 pm, and I plug in at 10pm, it...

I'm not sure the conclusion that Tesla did it to save energy is correct. On my recent trip, Tesla suggested a detour for apparently no reason, my guess is it thinks there's traffic on the freeway.

I use both. ABRP is used for pre trip planning, when I customize all stops, set arrival SOC, whether I will charge up at each stop etc. Tesla doesn't let you customize arrival SOC. It seems to me as low as 8% is okay if can reach without charging, but if it adds SC, then it will set to somewhere...

I don't know a way to turn it off, if you navigate to a supercharger. That being said, the only benefit is faster charging, so you can save some time waiting at a supercharger.

As long as the car knows you are driving to a supercharger, either you set one as stop or the car decides driving to one.

I have a Tesla MYP and a Mach e (soon 2 of them). All my family feel MME is more roomy I'm first row. The trunk space is clearly smaller than model Y, but anyone call it tiny must be joking. Range is quite good. My SR RWD version gets about 245. My soon be here ER should have close to 300...

Not sure about M3, but on my model Y lithium battery negative is a ring connector held down by 10mm bolt. A little hard to access though, likely need to take out HEPA filter unless you have some long wrench. Positive pole is much easier to reach but I don't remember whether it's easy to disconnect.

my boss' 1 month old M3LR 12V died this morning. it was plugged in overnight. they jumped the tow hole wire to release the charging plug, and towed it to a service center.

why you do tire rotation? why people change oil filter on their ICE cars?

I DIY a lot of things on my cars, but tire rotation/balance is not one of them. Walmart is $56 lifetime nationwide (used to be much cheaper), I don't see a reason do it myself and can't balance the tires. what are the reasons you guys rotate yourselves?

This is common and not an indication of battery degradation. More likely prediction based on your driving history. It will fluctuate based on various of factors (temperature, driving speed etc)

Even the AC was running the whole time it won't use 50%. It must be something else. I live in Texas and we are over 100F every day. I have overhead protection on, it only kicks in when I park under the sun, and never drained noticeable amount of energy.

Sounds you are not ready for an EV. Majority of US EV owners have daily access to L1/L2 charger and top off often. Range is only a concern for trips.

The two orders have no relationship. If you are in Texas, get offered of a made in Austin model Y and take it, likely you get the car before the charger. If you wait for your model Y LR to be built, likely the charger comes first. But anything can happen.

The charger is a totally separate order from the car.

MYP still come with summer tires for warm regions.

All BEVs are supply restrained. It's not this or the other, but whether you can get hold of one, anyone. I can't even put down an order for MME now, so will at least live with it for a while. In the meanwhile, MYP is way faster than my MME (slower version, not GT).

I don't see so many MME owners dissing Tesla when Tesla recalls come out, and there are quite a few. My Tesla MYP costed $25k more than my MME. Yes it's way faster, but that's about it. Both my daughter and I prefer driving MME more. Couple of features MME has while Tesla is missing: 360 camera...

even Tesla, with so many years ahead, still have numeric recalls (center display overheat, X side airbags etc. just to name a couple). when I bought my Mach E, I fully expected it likely would have more issues than a mature product. I just hope my Tesla Model Y holds better.

a different part on assembly line could be very different from replacing the part after it's built. they also need to assess whether all need this replacement, or only certain cars.

Believe uscbusfan was talking about different things... Old software has settings for amount of regen, now it's gone on newer versions. The latest change supposedly on 2022.16 would be a new setting for mechanical brake to be automatically applied when regen brake is limited (e.g. cold battery)...

Limited top speed for AP is due to camera only system. There's no radar or lidar for long range detection, and camera resolution/processor is not good enough to handle items far away. I doubt they can raise to 90 without hardware change.

I had a MB C300 with 18" tires and BMW 428 with 20" tires. The C300 was much smoother ride. BMW passes every bump to me. I feel MYP with 21" is in between of them. Each person's feeling is different. Some may think MYP is too rough, I don't. Turo one for a day or two to feel yourself.

a while before delivery Tesla will start asking whether you have a trade in. you fill in the information , upload several pictures, and within hours or couple of days Tesla will give you a value they offer. then you can turn in the car to Tesla when taking delivery. I doubt you can just do this...

the chance getting back 50% in resale is not high... Tesla and most dealers don't pay anything for FSD on used Teslas, and most buyers don't value it either. subscription equals 60-month 0% loan at current prices.

I applied for DCU loan when it was 1.99% (after direct deposit and EV discount). Called in a week later to finalize, and they said rate was 2.49%. I mentioned it was 1.99% when I applied, then they honored the rate.

The range is physical limited by not having a fully packed battery pack. They might be able to increase some through software, but won't be much. Future 4680 pack could have much higher range once they populate the pack fully.

Just picked up mine. It came with summer tires :( Drove to tint shop directly :)

4680 is not LFP

Red EDD is 3 months earlier than white as of now. Maybe you got pushed because some people with original white order switched to red.

The model is called "model Y AWD", not SR.
