Noticed that the latest update lets you pick the speed even in auto pilot. I didn’t try turning them off completely. Why would I? Camera needs to see the road. I also noticed that they don’t go full blast like they used when it wasn’t necessary.

Phantom braking hasn’t been a big issue for me, but like others have said you should be able to react within a second and before the car halts to a complete stop. Usually the car is only able to scrub off 5-10mph within that second of you getting on the accelerator.

Been using Progressive for years and get good rates with tiny increases, but had to get Tesla insurance due to big difference in price. I guess Tesla is just more expensive to insure. Looking at those Wham Bam Tesla Cam videos the repair prices look high for something very minor.

I would definitely consider dedicated set of wheels as show chains with destroy your wheels/rims esp with low profile tires, but if you’re the curb my wheels type then you’re fine.

Have you tried to set the pressure to 35psi and see if Tesla sees it as that? 15mins of driving highway or otherwise will not do much to increase the tire pressure. 20 minute track session in 100 degree weather, now that’s a different story.

True. I’m a minimalist, so I welcome the simplicity and lack of buttons vs for example my wife’s ‘17 Volt with buttons and convoluted dashboard with all the unnecessary shapes that don’t add anything just make it complicated to clean. Owning a Tesla made it even harder to look at.

It gets hot at first and then goes to like 25% of the initial pre-heat. I think that’s pretty good, but would be cool to be able to have 2-3 ranges like the seats do. I’m pretty sure it can be easily accomplished with software update if Tesla really wanted to give us that option.
