Even with rim protectors, if you go to battle with a curb, the curb is going to win and probably take out your rim protectors and make a lasting impression on your wheels.

    2023 HW4 Model X Front Door Issues

Well, I may have spoke to soon. I went out today and probably got in and out of the X at least 5 times and the door NEVER fully opened for me. ALL openings were the couple inch opening with the additional drag on trying to pull it open to get in. Sorry I got your hopes up. I guess it's a crap...

Weird looking residue lines on front rotors MXP

Back yard mechanic here. I would watch the fronts, one in particular, and if you take it to the service center for anything else then also mention this for the record. Rears look good. Turn off REGEN for a day or two and drive it like you stole it to exercise the brakes and pads then take...

Model S and X air suspension reliability

Question ref Air Suspension on the X. Do you think "exercising" the Air Suspension weekly will have a positive effect on longevity? I find with many things today if you don't use it regularly it is more likely to not work when u need it.

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

Jay, thank you for your response. I can not come up with a logical explanation for your tire difficulties on a 2020 X. With your luck it may be time to buy a scratch-off or a lotto ticket. How many miles is on the car now? I know this is a pain but can you provide pictures of each of the...

Why Does My Model X get so many Flat Tires?

Jay, I see you joined TMC just yesterday. Welcome. As to your problems can you tell us the problem with each flat? Was it road hazard (nail, screw, etc in the tire)? Was it that all the air in the tire went out and when u tried to pump it back up it's didn't hold air? You also said "All 4...

Tesla Universal Wall Charger And Mobile Charger On The Same Circuit?

Main things to follow: 1. ALL CABLE RUNS ARE DIRECT POINT-TO-POINT. 2 BREAKER TO WALL CONNECTOR. NOTHING IN BETWEEN. 3. NO J BOXES, BUGS, PLUGS, RECEPTACLES, ETC. 4. ALL CONNECTIONS PROPERLY TORQUED TO SPEC. 5 USE Dielectric Grease SPARINGLY. That's it.

@Eric33432 excellent write-up, excellent advice. I to generally recommend MC cable over conduit for Wall Connectors. The one step install over the 2 step with conduit and THHN is the selling point for me.

Should I be concerned with a bottle of liquid spilled into flooring

I'm no expert here but I would be in there with large plastic bottles of warm water, drench where the cider spilled and vac up with your shop vac fairly quickly. This will remove most of the sticky of the cider and also delute the possible effects of the cider on anything it might have hit...

    tire alignment question

Generally what your going to find is that the current camber setting on your X is going to be somewhere between -2.0 to -2.2. putting the shim in is going to correct your current camber by a +0.8 so a current -2.0 will be a -1.2. That will flatten out your rear wheels and further alleviate your...

2023 plaid x high speed hard braking stability issue

    tire alignment question

The inside tire wear you mention is the rear camber alignment that is spec anywhere from a -.5 to a -2.5 and it's probably around a -2.0 to -2.2 on your car. Help Me Confirm the my Tesla Wall Connector is Wired Correctly

Please correct me if I'm wrong but 6/2 MC (Metal Clad) is equivalent to running THHN in conduit and does not carry the same limitations that Romex carries. Also 6/2 MC is a one-and-done install instead of the 2 step required with Conduit and #6 THHN.

    Mud Flaps

I tried the Amazon route first with great disappointment. I then went with the Tesla mudflaps, only 2, for the front only. Real easy to install.
