    So some good news from China. The attached is a table showing Tesla Shanghai(named ‘T’) is able to produce over 40k cars in May. Company ‘A’ and ‘B’ are both suppliers of Tesla and are 50~80% of full production capacity.

    For someone without a car to drive, I feel like I am dying. SR+ White/Black placed on 27 Jan. But you know what, called a local bike school, starting a course tomorrow morning like 7am. I will get a cheap bike next week, then I can actually go places.

    Is your battery flat so you could not operate the functions or something? If you can still open then frunk, just open it up, check the size, and buy a new one with similar sizing. Or even a lithium one. Newer ones come with lithium 12V now, size is different I think.

    I think get the RWD unless you really need the extra range or acceleration. For me, it’s fast enough. Range is good enough. I save a few thousand from the state incentive as well. With the money saved, I could potentially buy a BYD Atto 2 or something.

    The translation is some what incorrect though. In the original Chinese text of ‘the first batch of Electric…’, it’s said ‘首批次整船出口’. ‘整船’ means ‘entire/whole ship’.     According to CPCA China, Tesla Shanghai produced 10,757 cars during Apr 2022. 1,512 units were delivered to the Chinese Domestic market. That’s probably why Turandot is not loading our Model 3s. Out of the 10,757 - 1,512 = 9,245 units, most of them must be LHD cars. Out of the RHD drive ones...

    So the overall size of the wheel is set. The larger number is mostly just the wheel hub. the larger the wheel hub, the thinner the tyre itself. When driving past a hole or bump, the bigger wheel hub are more prone to get damaged not to mention the thinner tyres. Maybe not as often as in VIC. I...

    No one really knows. But looking at your order date, which is Apr…. I would say just place another order for the RWD and see which arrives first. Once you receive your car and if you like it, sell or cancel the other order.

    Thanks to the *sugar* roads in Australia…. I would prefer the 18 over anything larger, as the larger tyres are ‘thinner’. My friends who own the P models tells me about their tyre problems on a daily basis
