Yeh would assume it is partly to do with relocation. I ordered a type 2 charge cable and it took nearly 4 weeks to deliver because they kept giving me the moving warehouse excuse.

Bought it for my partner in case she didn't like looking at the main screen but wasn't needed. Still a great looking setup and I'm sure some people would prefer to have it

Picked up from Alexandria today - easy process and car had zero defects or issues. Only downside was 60% charge but that got us down to our lunch reservation at Bowral and back. Autopilot calibrated after a few minutes on the M8 and used it most of the way. Worth the wait, stunning car to drive.

Novated lease company has just settled and after 9.5 months delivery day is booked for Saturday! Worth the wait post incoming in a few days time. For those who want more granular information on ship movements, candidate ships etc, can vouch for Vedaprime service. Was sceptical at first but...

If you take the LR in inventory you will likely get a delivery date in early February - I did the same and am locked in. Took the uncertainty out of waiting

The wheels are ~$2k but it pushed me above the stamp duty free threshold in NSW so ends up being more expensive. Didn't mind doing that to get the config I really wanted.

Just updated to match an in stock car configuration and got assigned a VIN with an estimated delivery window of Feb 10 to March 3. Confirmed VIN has an N for 22 build date

Was trying to work out change in pricing with the novated lease company so couldn't move that fast!

There was an LR until a second ago as well. I was trying to change Configs to take it but looks like someone else beat me to it!

How are people still complaining about the model Y thing.... They come off different production lines and at the stage they were released, shipping wasn't the issue causing Model 3 delays - it was manufacturing. Makes as much sense as being annoyed that someone got their car from another brand...

There is nothing contractual about it, just an estimate. There is zero recourse for being outside the time frame, and your $350 is always at risk. Just never think of your $350 again

Do you mean the stamp duty refund? If so this is incorrect. The NSW revenue website says that for vehicles registered after 15 August the exemption is automatically applied and you don't pay it then have to claim it back

Really depends on individual circumstances so important everyone gets a personal quote if considering a novated lease. For me, I was comparing cash to novated lease which is a far higher bar than loan to novated lease. Under old rules, was about $10k cheaper to buy with cash as you avoid the...

They will give you an invoice with no stamp duty because Tesla deals with it direct with the government now in NSW rather than you paying it then claiming back

Also updated to Dec-Jan, first time I have had actual months showing rather than numbers. Time to naively believe Tesla are going down a strategy of under promising and over delivering and I'll have my car before Xmas!

I don't think there is any legal obligation to refund it but they might do so as a gesture of goodwill. The date has only ever been represented as an estimate not a guarantee

Tesla reported earnings this morning and flagged it is tracking towards 50% average annual growth in deliveries over the coming years. Direct some of that to the Aussie market Elon!

Based on the number of model 3s Shanghai has been producing, let's just hope they clear out through to June or something and we are concerned about Feb v March orders
