How did you learn the born date?

Mine left on 7/22. On 7/25 I received a text & email to schedule delivery for 8/5, 8/6 or 8/8. My understanding is they rail to Chicago and truck from there.

I hope that didn’t happen to you! I scheduled my pick up today for 8/8 in Cherry Hiill NJ. I have to drive 2.5 hrs to get there. I’d be pretty pissed if they were that incompetent.

Happy Birthday Dan! I’ll remember it as the day I got my VIN also. My MVPA also shows 15 miles. My understanding is that that car is still in assembly when the VIN is issued. Does anyone know the average time between text (VIN) and email?

Just got the text with a VIN#. I almost choked on my pizza! EDD 8/4 - 8/8. No email yet. Pick up should be in South New Jersey seeing that Tesla doesn’t have a sales license in Delaware. Didn’t think this day was ever gonna come!

EDD changed again today. Moved out 2 weeks to 7/18 - 8/8. The 17th change and the 3rd in the last 7 days! Ridiculous!!!

Great stuff. It’s amazing how excited you get when you’re inside that window and how fast you hit the ground after the backhand. And we get to do it again next month!

EDD just changed for the 15th time from 6/20-7/11 to 7/14-8/18. 2nd time I got one day within the window and the date moved out a month! Very depressing!!!

I hope you’re right. We have similar configuration and EDD. Right next door in Delaware too. We’ve waited long enough. Send the carrier East!

Just got an email from Tesla that says “you can trade in your current vehicle and apply the value to your upcoming Model S purchase.” Must be getting close! Current (14th) EDD is 6/20 - 7/11. Has anyone else received a similar email?

My 14th EDD change was yesterday, moving out 2 days on each end. Now at June 20 - July 11. Staying positive on the East Coast!

Mine narrowed also. June 18 - July 9. I’m thinking the cream interior has been a hold up. Has anyone seen one delivered with cream?

So true about putting a damper on the excitement. But that will change with a VIN. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions since January for me. Just have to be patient.

You are not alone. I ordered a Model S long range w/19” wheels and FSD on 9/2/21. The delivery date has changed 12 times and is now June11 - July 16. Getting the same answers from local salesman. Very frustrating!
