I am in Calgary. I worked with a service advisor in Calgary. There was a bit of back and forth texting through the tesla app with her and I think we had a phone call but we never needed to call Tesla Canada. Maybe call the Calgary service center but it was resolved within the week.

I walked into a service centre in Canada and they had it sorted over the week for no cost. You will have to pay GST at the border to import and then you will have to pay inspection fees. I’m not sure about PST as my province that I imported does not have PST.

Our service advisor that we worked with at Tesla was absolutely perfect. Very easy process.

Update: you have to go to Tesla in Canada. They updated it over the air and everything is in compliance with the DRL now.

Update: I went to a Tesla center in Canada. They issued a compliance letter and an update went through automatically after a few nights. I now have full time Canadian DRL!

I think this is our next step. Unfortunately Canadian Tire is the only one authorized to do this inspection. Who takes a Tesla to Canadian Tire???

that seems the logical choice but it is not that simple. They are not allowed to have an “off” function for DRL in Canada. I always use auto in all my cars but I guess that’s not good enough and failed an inspection. Hoping for a solution here.

VIN came in this morning. No text and just appeared in the app. Order date was March 13. White on white performance with no FSD. Now date shows May 27-30. We are located in Arizona.

That’s getting to be a tight window with no VIN. I was hoping to get a VIN before I got to the window. Hopefully we are getting close.
