I picked up a PC542 this morning from Manchester and it has USS. Saw another PC54 car with USS, and checked a PC552 car which didn’t have any. Safe to say if you have a PC54 car, you’re likely to have USS, but anything over very low PC55 is likely to come without.

You might have a 2023 MY waiting for you with USS if you have a VIN ending PC54XXXX or a low PC55XXXX. This isn't 100% guaranteed, but increases your odds.

With a PC54XXXX VIN, I have very high hopes you'll have USS.

The expensive car supplement only applies to cars sold from April 2025, so is not a retrospective charge. This means £40k+ EVs sold today will be a little cheaper to run from 2025 vs new, and a more attractive used car purchase too.

And BIK on company cars to increase 1% a year for 3 years from 2025, which isn't as bad as I thought!!

I'd say it's highly likely not to have USS, so possibly upgraded cameras (I say possibly as we never know 100% with Tesla). It seems the USS VIN cut off is very low PC55XXXX, or even high PC54XXXX on Model Y. Proof will be in the pudding when the first collections take place.

I now have the official VIN and Reg text, so getting closer, no invoice yet, but not concerned now I have the reg.

Judging by your VIN number that would make sense. It seems there's in the region of 10k Shanghai made Model Ys on 2023 VINs with USS, and predominately with VINs in the 54XXXX range. When I last looked at the date 2023 models were being produced from, and a tip off of the date of non USS...

There’s a chance that even 2023 cars with USS have the upgraded cameras too, as has been reported in the USA, it all depends on the crossover of parts and supply. As a rule of thumb with Tesla, just because a 2023 car has USS, it doesn’t mean it won’t have the new cameras.

Looks like I have a VIN in source!! I was originally checking the API which still shows no VIN @ https://www.tesla.com/teslaaccount/oxp-bff-api/user-orders
