I think you have a fairly unique set up that would allow 2 chargers to be configured this way. For most with one charger being used for solar, the inverter needs to see all of the house load to function as intended.

Having made an economic case to get an expensive and constantly depreciating Tesla, the case to invest in solar and home battery was an easy decision for me to make.

If you link the ohme to Intelligent Octopus instead of the Tesla then the location of the Tesla is not used. IO knows when the car is in the right place for IO charging at the point the ohme is plugged into the Tesla.

Plugging in the car away from home I would expect the car to start charging itself (not IO starting it) if the charger is enabled to charge when plugged into something. The IO slots appearing is however an anomaly.

If both properties have IO accounts (one property linked to each IO account as per the FAQ) there is nothing to say the same car couldn't be geofenced to both properties. The only way to be sure is to try it. If it doesn't work there is nothing lost👍.

I did this to change my connected device from my car to my Ohme charger and the tariff was changed. I would suggest contacting customer services and procede from there.

I've had this since mid August on my electric import, export and gas data. Octopus are aware and hopefully going all out to re-establish a connection to get my 1/2 hour readings (which as you know are vital for a time of use tariff)!

Thanks, sounds like an option. But to be honest I have solar/home battery so won't really benefit a great deal from the extra slots if I was ever to need them. Might just stick with the ohme in the fixed 6 hours👍

I'm not convinced the ohme integration and the fact that the Tesla doesn't need ohme integration (unlike the majority of other EVs) is considered in the ohme FAQ. I don't think they are playing nicely together.
