It's not so much about the speed but the reliability of the medium over the long term. Most SSD's weren't designed for frequent high speed writing and reading, whereas dedicated video storage medium were.

I don't use a hub, but I've installed a 256GB SanDisk Max Endurance Card partitioned into 2 partitions. One for Tesla Sentry/Dashcam and 1 for my music. Just be aware that you must use a high speed read/write medium suitable for the Tesla camera recordings.

With a build date of 28/11, I don't believe your car will be on the Cherry or Crystal. FYI the Morning Crystal is due to dock at Port Kembla at 1800hrs tonight. Any cars on this ship for Melbourne/Adelaide will most likely be offloaded, transferred to the Morning Cherry the next day for onward...

Like you, I believe my M3 is on either the Morning Crystal or Morning Cherry. My strategy is to check the RAV site daily to see if the car has officially "entered" Australia. Still hopeful of a pre Christmas surprise 🤞

I've always had good responses by sending an SMS to the number they text you about your car being available. The premium slim plates adds about $189 which is what Service SA charge as an extra.

The invoice doesn’t appear until sometime after the messages are received. The refresh button is your friend. I asked for premium plates and just received a phone call from Tesla Adelaide confirming they will action it ASAP. They are very prompt in Adelaide

Mine also changed overnight. Pushed the window to 21 Oct - 4 Nov.

Just received sms to authorize Tesla to register my vehicle on my behalf. No change to EDD yet

Has anyone else noticed that the model year has disappeared from the web portal, despite the VIN appearing in the Invoice?

I don't think this works anymore. I have a VIN from my Final Invoice, but the "VIN" section in the Tesla API is blank. The telltale sign is if the "Year" section shows 2022, then you have a car assigned. I found the VIN embedded in the source code of the web page.

My EDD updated overnight to now be 14-28 Oct. Invoice shows build date of 23/09/22.

Happy Days. My EDD just changed from Aug - Nov to 1-6 November 2022. No VIN yet but the model year is now showing 2022 in the API.

I have just learnt from my SA that I cannot get Premium Number Plates on my Model 3 because I am in S.A. Can anyone else from S.A. confirm that this is also their experience. He says I have to change the plates after delivery.

Can confirm that if you are from SA, whether you've ordered an M3 or MY, there is absolutely no EDD's in either the App or the online account. And yes, I am logged in

In a similar position. Ordered a Model 3 in March, then grabbed a Model Y when orders opened. Was thinking of cancelling the 3 until my wife said, "No, I'll have the Model 3!"

That is correct. When ordering, the website showed 6-9 months expected delivery, but neither the app or account website shows an EDD.
