That looks great. The Metra adapter does not recess the factory screws enough and they interfere with mounting. I'll probably replace it if I ever go back in there for some reason.

Yes, I used the Metra 82-8606, however I don't really recommend it. I would get one from RW Audio or Amped Garage.

If you’d be interested, I have Dayton Audios with brackets and harnesses available, long story short I got them with a package deal and I don’t need them as I got ISU200 with tweeters.

Thank you for the feedback, that sub must be insane! I have the same speakers ready to go in the dash. I wonder if doing the rear doors vs rear deck would be better, unless doing both.

Thank you! I'm sure I'm going to end up wanting to add a dedicated amp to the Skar so that's what I ask. I just don't want to make it overly complicated if possible. Check out the Orella Acoustics kit, they mount their amp under the OEM sub/amp bracket.

I'd be very interested if you'd ever be able to end up creating an amp bracket and harness for those wanting to add a dedicated sub amp but already have premium audio

I was just looking at that exact sub as an easy swap to my OEM sub. Hard to beat the price. I wish I knew if there would be a discernible difference without an amp upgrade (at least until I do decide to upgrade the amp)

This morning my service center replaced the drivers side main body seal, adjusted the window and adjusted the door. Problem solved, thankfully. Car is much quieter now though I'll still be doing the first 3 things mentioned in this thread in order to make it even better.

Quick update, I stuck a piece of foam behind that kinked portion of the seal but didn't really notice a different on my drive to work this morning, though maybe the foam I used is too soft to do anything. I'll leave it for now and try a better solution with weather stripping when it comes in...

I will also be doing the other 3 things you mentioned in the beginning of this thread. Not that I'm disappointed with the wind/road noise in my car, but I'm always open to improving it. Thanks for sharing all of this.

After much deliberation, I decided to go with the FaitalPro 4FE35 for the edges and the 4FE32 in the middle. I managed to get the trio for about $100 from parts express. It's a bit easier to slide $100 by than what it would be for the ScanSpeaks, though I'm sure they're worth the money based on...

I installed the 5/16" vinyl tubing on my Dec built '23 MYLR, made a big difference. Was super easy to install, did it all in one shot. Sprayed lubricant in each of the little holes in the rubber rather than trying to lubricate the tube itself. Didn't seem to mess with the gaps or anything like...
