dl_a175 / Cruise Control Not Available after 2022.36.2 Firmware

So since my post here I've run into this twice more. The time after the original post I made up above, open/closing the doors did not fix it. It had to sit overnight, sentry off, etc. to go into full deep sleep (12 hours? However long it takes). Then it was fine the next day. And the latest...

Model 3 accident.. was I at fault? [After arbitration my insurance says yes]

0% OP's fault. When OP started moving again, he did so in a clear lane when it was safe to do so, and that's all that really matters. The BMW driver has an obligation to verify the turn is safe before starting his turn. If he had looked once those cars went by it would have been obvious. But...

Apr 18 Software Update Bug affects Cruise Control availability and More

I wouldn't believe the bit about it being fixed in a future update. This has been happening for years. Just search "Cruise control unavailable" or "Autopilot unavailable" and see the many threads here and elsewhere if you Google it. It seems new to some, but I think its really just that it is...

    Cruise control unavailable

Old thread, but just adding more data. I had this happen again, for like the 3rd time in a year, this time on 2023.7.15/11.4.3 The last time the first time it required an overnight of sitting to fix, the 2nd time the open/close everything fixed it somehow, and this most recent time it required...

Michelin Pilot All Season 4 thoughts

I know this thread is a bit old but it just popped up and figured I'd add my own experiences. MYP with these. They're amazing in all weather I've tried them. They've been great in the rain, but are also just fine in snow as long as you don't drive like an idiot. Earlier this year on a road trip...

    FSD 11.4.x experiences

Crazy, so we're basically seeing polar opposite behavior. Do you drive with minimal lane changes on?
  7. honoraryorange

    FSD 11.4.x experiences

I wonder if the problem I posted is related - I've noticed the car REALLY wants to always be in the right most lane (if there's a right turn in the nav, even 5+ miles ahead). Even if I've enabled minimal lane changes. It just wants to be to the right, like all the time.

    FSD 11.4.x experiences

Has anyone noticed it changing lanes to follow the route way, way, way too early with 11.4.3? I don't remember this in the previous version. Scenario: City driving, 2 lanes each direction + turn lane. The outer lanes are fairly busy with people entering/leaving the road and most through traffic...

Is the model 3 supposed to apply the brakes automatically to avoid a Front collision?

It feels like you're trying to blame Tesla for following too closely and failing to break in time. The Tesla can, and usually will help, but you must understand it has no actual obligation to, or guarantee that it will. You are the driver and are 100% responsible for everything the vehicle does.

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

No, on previous firmware I could just keep my hand on place on the wheel pretty well. Now I have to adjust the torque I'm applying pretty regularly to keep it from yelling at me. On city streets it feels super bad, on the highway it is just annoying.

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

Just installed finally yesterday - haven't done much on the freeway yet. But the nags on streets were truly annoying, unfortunately :( Can't just keep my hand on the wheel now, have to wiggle, and every time I glance at the screen it wants another wiggle lol :(

    FSD Beta 10.69

Late reply here, but almost the opposite - Although I do agree the problem can be visible on narrow streets too. Here we have very wide streets, with no markings except the center lines (or center turn lane). There's unmarking parking along the curb, and the streets are still wide enough to...

    FSD Beta 10.69

Glad to know I'm not going crazy - thanks! I live in a decent sized city but all of our non-major streets are basically like this, big, wide, side street unmarked parking, etc. So FSD Beta has been pretty unusable there. That said, it's been really great on the busier streets and navigating me...

    FSD Beta 10.69

Does anyone feel like it's getting worse rather than better in regards to drifting too far right in very wide lanes like two lane streets with unmarked curb parking? Even worse when it comes to a red light and blocks the ability for people to turn right while basically sitting 5 feet over from...

    First Impressions: Model Y Performance

I guess it just shows that everything is very specific to the person, and test driving is important. The Y seats are actually some of the most comfortable I've been in. I've taken multiple multi-day road trips and never been sore or uncomfortable in them, and my passengers have remarked...

Strange issue with Tesla related to cruise control and car lock

So now there's multiple instances that this is the case. See this post: dl_a175 / Cruise Control Not Available after 2022.36.2 Firmware As well as my followup. A decent number now have fixed the no cruise control thing by simply opening/closing everything. It gives a lot of credibility to the...

Are you 99% highway driving? If so, these numbers don't seem that far off. Efficiency just starts to tank over 60. I've found if I've got a wide open highway and I'm going 75mph that it's just terrible. But a bit of traffic slowing me down really helps the range lol I think a lot of people who...

Tesla making HUGE mistake with Superchargers

I think it makes sense to expand it, but Teslas should never have to wait for non-Teslas, since we bought into this network and are (effectively) trapped into it without paying extra. If they implement some queueing system that prioritizes Teslas, that'd solve everything.

Is the Tesla app giving anyone else problems now? [09.20.2022]

Same - I found a couple long Twitter threads on it with a bunch of "me toos" but I think since it only affected people who were on road trips (and would need to charge, then charge again within a couple hours) it wasn't widely known. It is still kind of a big deal though and shows a big flaw in...

Vehicle fraudulently transferred out of account without permission

Have any new testers with a safety score above 80 received the FSD Beta 10.69.2.2 update yet?

Oh nice! Man though, safety score of 80? I feel like I'm somewhat aggressive but I'm sitting at 95. Then again, like 90% of my miles are autopilot, maybe that's enough to basically erase the city driving lol

I hadn't been to this thread before and at first was surprised at how bad people say it is, but now I understand just how much it has improved fairly recently :) I've up in Seattle, but I've taken I-5 through Oregon, the coast highway all the way up, and the northeast Pendleton through Baker...

    No camping in your car.

I don't think that's correct at all. You'll max the 50a circuit for a VERY brief time while charging up to your limit. After that the draw is super minimal to maintain the environment, probably far less than an RV running AC, fridge, lights and everything else.

    Fast charging without preconditioning?

Thanks for the good info, folks. Just wanted to mostly be sure I wasn’t shortening my battery like. Currently road tripping and superchargers out here are 0.59/kw while electrify America is 0.31 and often more convenient to stores. Paid for the monthly pass with my first charge and now it’s...

    Fast charging without preconditioning?

    MYP - April/May OD July/September EDD

Same with mine, and I didn't want it. I don't want the 'shelf'. I ordered a 3rd party rollup cargo cover. Can still put some light things on it if you need to, but when you aren't using it it takes up way less space than the giant shelf that only folds in half.
