Step 1: pull out the small drain plugs at the bottom of your lift gate, then slowly close it and water should pour out. See above for photos. Take a video of the water as it drains. Step 2: Setup a service visit, attach the video, and reference the bulletin.

Quick update for those suffering from this issue. Tesla released a service bulletin that should take care of the problem in just 1 visit to the SC! I hope this helps some of you get quick resolution of the problem.

I just found a new service bulletin for this issue! I hope this means Tesla has changed their manufacturing process to permanently resolve this before shipping the cars.

Thanks for following up. I suspect that's going to be what's going on with all of them where the symptom is water fills up inside the interior of the liftgate. It's a very different kind of problem than bad window adhesive or a defective trunk seal.

Not sure of the original intention, but I have been updating mine to reflect what's in the app. From my perspective, I want to see any possible patters between the current EDD, VIN date, and actual delivery date so I can get an idea of what I might expect.
