Perhaps if you are comparing it to a personal loan with the full amount. But as soon as you start adding down payments with a personal loan even a 1 year novated lease doesn't make sense from the sums I've done with my employees provider.

You are correct. Even at higher interest rates a novated lease without the exemption is not worth it economically.

As much as I want this to pass quickly - I don't want to see PHEVs included in the bill at all. I think it still goes back to the HoR to be agreed to and then the Senate but super happy it is progressing!

It is on the house of reps daily program for debate later tonight! It really shouldn't have an issue passing HoR - the Senate is where it needs cross party support which I'm hopeful the Greens will provide
