    Time to DIY PPF!!

I've been looking at that ebay seller's stuff also. It's significantly cheaper than buying by-the-foot lengths from Xpel. I suppose you dont have other film to compare, but in terms of verifying you're actually getting the xpel film advertised, nate, were you able to confirm this somehow...

What the heck is in my paint?

I just looked over what they did about it at the service center. Looks like they cut away the remaining blob flush with the join, then painted over it with touchup. Looks fine, no complaints.

    Time to DIY PPF!!

How did you get on with the roll? I am likely going to go this route also. I see you purchased 36" x 20'. What panels did you manage to get covered with that size film? I guess you only did partial hood? 36" doesn't look big enough in either dimension to cover it...? Love to hear more...

Removal of rear-center-seat back, MY 2022

I did not know that - thanks! Perfect, the service manuals have a dedicated page for removal of the latch: "Backrest Switch – Seat Back – 2nd Row – Center (Remove and Replace)". The latch housing is held into the metal frame of the seat via two spring clips and indeed one is supposed to pry up...

Removal of rear-center-seat back, MY 2022

No doubt it has something to do with how it connects to the mechanism it operates, electrically or mechanically... I've tried removing the headrest, similar to how the front seats require the headrest to be removed to remove the seat-back covers, but that didn't help. I also tried prying up...

Removal of rear-center-seat back, MY 2022

Has anyone successfully removed the back cover of the rear center seat of a 5-seater 2022 MY? The back covers of the two side seats are removed by prying the cover out from the top of the seat and working down. Once all push pins are detached, four hinging hooks along the bottom edge of the...

    Window Trim Discoloration fix

Wow that's actually amazing. Both insane discoloration, and sublimely great fix! Word of caution though - I don't know yet how Tesla make theirs, but on most cars, the window trims have an extremely thin layer of paint/anodizing/whatever it is, ie: it's not thick and able to be polished many...

What the heck is in my paint?

I had the same thing. Its not dirt or rust. It's stuff they put between the panel joins at the back. It seems to ooze out around the joins, presumably at joining time, and they just paint over it. It's soft and squishy and reminiscent of cork or neoprene, and has that odd brown color. It's...
