    Model-Y Comprehensive Insurance Recommendation

Not sure it is just Tesla's. I have 3 cars insured with Allianz (2 ICE Holdens and 1 Tesla) and was disappointed to see the renewal for my 2011 VE Commodore ute increase by a lazy 50% when it came in last week. I have had no claims since the last renewal (in fact for the last 9 years) so I have...

State based EV road user charge (Overturned 18/10/23)

Well given this clarification on the link I posted above - Only distances travelled after 1 July 2023 will be subject to the new rate. I have taken the precaution to record the odometer reading before 01-Jul-23 to make it crystal clear what Km fall under the older rate.

State based EV road user charge (Overturned 18/10/23)

With the Victorian EV tax (ZLEV) going up at midnight tonight and the VICRoads website noting the increase is only applicable to Km travelled from tomorrow I would think it wise for anyone with EVs registered in Victoria to take a photo of the odometer tonight. I have not had to deal directly...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Well, after multiple EDD changes we are finally locked in for pick-up Weds 08-Mar so there is definitely movement in Melbourne despite all the port SNAFU. SR M3 ordered in April 2022 so it has been a while.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

There wasn't any direct mention of the expiry in my first email but the fine print regarding the Victorian ZEV subsidy includes this 'The ZEV Subsidy Program requires that motor car traders deliver vehicles to customers within 6 months of the contract of sale.' I received a second email when...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

If anyone in Victoria has their ZEV subsidy expiring before their current EDD as a result of the port SNAFU I would suggest you drop Solar Victoria an email. The extension for my subsidy expired today and I contacted Tesla a couple of weeks back when the most recent EDD moved well past the...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

In my case the email from Solar Victoria regarding the ZEV subsidy arrived relatively quickly but wasn't related to pending vehicle delivery. Original order date - 27-Apr-22 First ZEV email - 10-May-22 The subsidy application has a 6 month time limit and I received a second ZEV email from Solar...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Got the vehicle assigned text on Friday so the EDD finally changed from 9-12 Months. Currently showing EDD 29-Jan - 19-Feb-23 so hopefully delivery squeaks in before the Victorian subsidy extension closes on the 21-Feb. Original order 27-Apr-22 so in this case the 9-12 months looks to be pretty...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

It's even worse when you live in Melbourne - the RWD currently for sale matches my order from April. I have been quite patient until I saw this - I would love to hear the offical explanation.

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

The Victorian subsidy is valid for a 6-month period from the date of the initial contract. My 6 month point is due in a couple of days and I recently received this update from Solar Victoria: 'We’re writing to let you know that we are extending your Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Subsidy...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I received a similar email from Solar Victoria today and my application has been extended until 21-Feb-2023 - this is for a 27-Apr-2022 order (RWD). I am still showing Jan-Apr 2023 delivery window so hopefully we don't get toasted on that.
