    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

2 requests: (I have a 2020 Model S LR) 1) In cruise control, (with FSD, but not using navigation), have an option where it NEVER changes lanes without you initiating it. Just like normal cruise control, with traffic and traffic light awareness. Even when I select minimal lane changes, it...

Tesla complaint. Switching back to State Farm

The time of day for most accidents, fatal and non-fatal combined is between 4pm-7:59pm. (I looked it up.) So by your logic, everyone who drives home at rush hour should have their rates increased. How dare people put themselves in harm's way, and put Tesla insurance at risk of being on the...

Stuck on Safety Score program version 1.2

Oh.. I didn't know that! The whole thing is absurd, but at least that's a start.

Tesla complaint. Switching back to State Farm

I had a windshield rock chip claim, and in my email, I sent this. I'm sure nothing will change, but felt like sharing it here. "Also, This new safety score rating update is HORRIBLE. Bordering on discriminatory. Late night driving after 10pm??? I have to drive 10 miles from work to home...

Stuck on Safety Score program version 1.2

Uh, you don't want that. They now penalize you HEAVILY for driving after 10pm. I went from a 98, $105 a month, to a 86, $193 a month, all because I drive 10 miles home from work twice a week at midnight on empty roads. And I don't drink any alcohol ever. It's actually discriminatory in my...

    Autopark returned?

I can't tap the P, cause it's on the dash display, not the touch screen center console.

    Autopark returned?

I got 2022.45.14 update, and I have a 2020 Model S. Yesterday when driving in a parking lot, the "P" appeared on the display when I passed by a single open space between two cars. I haven't seen that in a long time. "Finally, it's back!" I thought. But when I pulled a little forward and put...

Tesla safety score penalizes night driving..

I see both sides. However, this driving after 10pm being penalized so drastically and over weighted is absurd. The number 1 highest risk time for driving is during rush hour in the afternoon. STATISTICALLY. So by your logic, they should raise the rates for anyone who drives at that time. But...

New Safety Score update is absurd.

If I end up paying more than what I can get quoted somewhere else, that's exactly what I'll do. But I like the fact that Tesla says that if you file a claim, they absolutely will not raise your rates. Knock on wood, I haven't had to test that yet, but every other company screws you in the...

New Safety Score update is absurd.

I know it's been talked about, but penalizing people for driving after 10pm is not only ridiculous, it's borderline discriminatory. I don't drink, and regularly drive at midnight. Trust me, the empty roads are MUCH safer than all the idiots on their cell phones during the daytime. Hopefully...

Tesla safety score penalizes night driving..

Bullsh*t. That is a blanket statement. Sure, people on road trips getting sleepy. Drunk drivers. But I don't drink. I get off work at midnight. Trust me, the streets are a LOT safer being mostly empty at night, rather than all the idiots in the daytime on their cell phones. This is...

Auto pilot speed setting not changing anymore

me too. but my set cruise limit would always drop. it would coast, but the set limit would reduce to match the posted speed limit sign (+5 in my case), but not anymore

    Crossclimate 2 dry traction?

I have 19" wheels. also, does the '22 have all 4 tires the same size/width?

Auto pilot speed setting not changing anymore

I have my setting to be +5 mph over the speed limit on autopilot and cruise control. When the posted speed limit changed, the car cruise speed would change too. For example. If I was in a 55 mph zone, my cruise speed would be 60 mph. If the street zone changed to 45 mph, the car would drop...

    Crossclimate 2 dry traction?

Much better. Haven't noticed any slips recently.

    Crossclimate 2 dry traction?

Update. About 700 miles now on the new tires. Not slipping nearly as bad. Guessing the new coating has worn down. Still slips a little, but not nearly as much. I'll report back in another 700 miles or so.

    Crossclimate 2 dry traction?

2020 LR AWD. and it's only for about 1 full second max, punched from a standstill. otherwise, they never slip

    Auto Lane change

ok. thanks. Confused and not understanding implies I had seen that info before. Now I have, it makes sense. I told the Tesla service dept. about it, and they had me set up an appointment to drop my car off. So apparently, they didn't know this either, or at least the guy messaging me on...

    Crossclimate 2 dry traction?

I just got new Michelin Crossclimate 2's put on my 2020 Model S LR, replacing the OEM tires. My model isn't the Performance, the 0-60 is 3.7 sec. With the OEM tires, when I would punch it from a standstill, there was almost never any slipping on dry road. Occasionally a very, very brief one...

    Auto Lane change

Ok. Sorry you are having trouble deciphering. Or maybe I wasn't clear. Or a combination. -I have full FSB Beta (I should have mentioned that in the original post, but I wanted to be clear I wasn't talking about using FSD Navigation during the issue, simply when using the stalk on my Model S...

    Auto Lane change

Ok, smartypants. here is why. 😄 First, I love the full Beta that I do have. All of it's features are amazing. HOWEVER, I don't put in destinations everywhere I go. When I drive home from work, I am mostly driving around Denver on 4 lane city roads, not highways. I don't enter...

    Auto Lane change

But I don't want to mess with a confirmation and cancel it. I want to just have it not change lanes at all.
  24. C

    Auto Lane change

Not true, unless I don't truly know what navigate on auto pilot is. I don't put in a destination, put the auto steer on, and it will change lanes. I do have the fsd beta. but again, not setting a destination. And it will change lanes behind a slow car.
  25. C

    Auto Lane change

When I'm using auto pilot or steer (basically just cruise control, no destination set), it auto changes lanes when I get behind a slow car. It bugs me when I'm coming up to a right turn at the next intersection, and suddenly my car changes to the left lane. So I went to controls/auto...

Preservation on that New Car Smell... forever

I bought the three pack sampler. New car, leather, and original scent. They are absolutely God awful. I bought a 2020 model S two months ago from Tesla used inventory. It smelled like new leather. I wish I knew what they used.

    Saved seat position movement

I have a 2020 model S LR. When I get in my car, it's set to the easy entry profile setting. When I touch the brake, it moves to my profile setting. But, the first thing the seat does is move way forward and up before moving down and back. It's moves so far forward, that I have to bend my...

Charges at supercharger but not at home or destination chargers

I had the same problem, figured out solution myself through trial and error. 1) go to WiFi settings on your phone, and connect to Tesla Wall Charger. (It will say "connected, without internet". This is fine. 2) go to Internet browser on your phone and type: 192.168.92.1 3) this will take...
