Yeah I would give them a call. Do you see a VIN in the app still? Upper left corner under your order ID? If there is still a VIN assigned in the app I guess you should be good. They will eventually respond to your text though.

Since you haven't taken delivery, it will be a 2023 model unless they offer you an existing inventory vehicle. I received my VIN last week and it is a 2023.

At least they respond to some of you. I sent a text message for the first time early last week and zero response. Interest rates keep going up and used car prices keep going down. I figure they’ve cost me a couple thousand dollars by pushing me (and many of us)….

Ah, now I understand. I haven't been paying as much attention to VINS lately, someone else will likely know better than I. But your SA can tell you the exact manufacture date. It sounds pretty recent to me though.

I do not fully understand your question, but you can ask your SA. There are lots of reasons for a reject though, most of the time it is probably caused by the original customer not being able to take delivery or get approved for financing vs. something wrong with the car.

Congrats! Love all the reports of cars in perfect or near perfect shape. It’s been a while since I’ve seen anyone take delivery of a M3 with any meaningful defects.

Pretty much. They prioritize to minimize inventory at the end of each quarter so they focus on delivering as many cars as possible (near the factory) with as few on trains and trucks as possible.

In all fairness those on the West coast will get screwed for the first 6 weeks of next quarter. Some get lucky and some don’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Many companies (and definitely airlines) have crappy customer service. Although I would argue very few that anyone is about to give $65,000 to in a single purchase.

Does Tesla assign VINs 7 days a week or on weekdays only? Wondering if they are manufacturing this weekend considering its Labor Day weekend.

Has happened to me a couple times usually fixes itself in 24 hours or so.

Got my two-week window a couple days ago. 9/12 - 9/26, fingers crossed!

Who knows but they may have received a supplier truckload of parts that allowed them to release a whole batch of vehicles that were on hold.

I had this happen with a Jeep in the past, but based on someone elses comment that the Tesla does not have a magnetometer this probably wont work but I went to an open parking lot and drove in a slow 360 degree circle in one direction and then in the other direction and it solved my problem. Yeah, I'm not in a huge hurry either but the sooner the better, my trade in will need tires by December (it's a BWM so that'll cost $20k). And rates probably won't likely be going down anytime soon. All that said, I was surprised by how the date shifted by almost 5 months in less than 24 hours. 🤞
