You can’t really plan for the delivery as Tesla’s updates are so random. The car will probably be delivered after you get back. I’d just wait and see what happens. I was thinking the same thing! All the positive reports of shrinking EDD windows and deliveries had me wondering if I angered Tesla, missed a step on the app, etc.

Woke up to another delay. EDD is now Aug 14 to 28. June 21 to Aug 15 to July 15 to July 28 to August 14 is estimates I’d expect from the Post Office, not a private company. Having less than a 14 day window doesn’t mean a VIN is next.

It will probably update again to an earlier range. My 2 week range just started today. I think I saw 2 others who started their 2 week range yesterday (Flatbroke was one of them). For the near term, it sounds like some disappointment is coming.

If the left rear quarter panel to door is noticeably different from the right side, it should be easy to explain the problem and what you expect. I’m assuming that Tesla has contracts with paint and body shops to fix such problems. The door probably wasn’t aligned properly during assembly.

Was there an option for factory pick-up when you ordered? Maybe that’s why you keep getting delayed. Your experience makes me nervous. If there’s no reason for the endless delays, then it could happen to any of us (and the 2 week window means nothing).

I get the wall connector installed Wednesday. Delivery date is still 7/28 to 8/9. I hope the Tesla app has good news when I check tomorrow morning.

My SA advised to hold off on trade-in valuation until I get a VIN. The offer expire in 30 days, which did happen to me. Anyway, the calls could mean you’re about to get a VIN.

I sold my car at Carmax today. My EDD is in the 2 week range, and I know nothing is certain. The used car market is insane, so I cashed-in before the party ends. I’ll be driving my old Trans Am toy in the Texas heat to bridge the gap. A/C is so-so.

EDD updated this morning from 7/15 - 8/12 to 7/26 - 8/9. Hopefully I’ll get a VIN soon.

Congrats on the VIN! I’ll definitely read your updates about the pick-up experience. I can’t get the Tesla app to Update my trade-in value (first offer expired). It keeps locking up after I enter some details. Hopefully their IT folks will get it running monday morning.
