How long do we have to report faults after collection/delivery?

An update. As per all other details I have received from Tesla. I have chased Tesla and then received Reg and VIN via text straight away.

Some interesting information hinted at by Teslascope suggesting launch of an app store on Twitter. Suggesting new visualisations also for all.

Still waiting for my Reg - 13 days out from collection on 5th December

I understand the latest manual has been updated already to capture this. The wording has changed under Autopark.

After waiting what seems like ages, I've got a collection date of 5th December confirmed. The whole lease car process is definitely different from direct sales or even other leases. No idea why Tesla don't do things in time sequence and why they appear to schedule deliveries of cars randomly.

I have multiple times. Just get very generic responses saying I should receive a delivery text in the coming days. That was Monday this week. Since then Tesla have just said you will receive a delivery text "shortly" or "soon". Tesla said this week they couldn't even say I had a car assigned...

Don't worry. I'm a late April order (M3RWD) and do not have a delivery date. Must be still working through the list.

Good point. Don't understand why they are advertising these, they should be re-assigning cars to people who have locked in their order and paid. Would be a nice surprise for people to get early delivery dates.

Just get a generic response, they re-confirm car has been assigned as per last two weeks and VIN also assigned and I should wait for a delivery update in the "coming days".

Wish that was true for me.. it looks like everyone who has had hidden VIN around 28th October has a delivery date.. I still haven't.

Lease orders appear to be completely random timelines for receiving information. I've had a hidden VIN since 28th October and still no delivery text. Same story from Lease Company saying end of Nov/Early December. Just means hopefully we have less time to wait between delivery text and delivery...

Was this through the online portal? How was it left with not having a reg plate? Will honour Admiral honour the quote even when you add reg plate?

It appears you have a delivery date also. I might be missing something but what is the reasoning for understanding which ship the car is on if you have a delivery date? Your delivery date suggests the car could be on either Summit or Europe. Anyone's guess.

Don't worry, as it is a lease order, the delivery "text" process maybe running later than others. You may just receive your text in a week and just have less time between the text and the actual delivery day. There's no rule here.

Exactly. A private order may take a day to accept where as a lease order may take 5 days. So then already your delivery process is a week behind and this could happen multiple times. Just because there is a 5 day delay doesn't mean you have to wait 5 days extra for delivery it might just mean...

Tesla website quotes WLTP test range (UK) but I understand Tesla's within the car uses EPA range tests (USA) for estimating range which is a lower estimate. Just know that the real world range calculated by the car itself is most the important range. 274 miles real world range seems about right...

Which delivery date range did you receive out of curiosity? Appears you had a short timeframe between allocation to receiving delivery text. Are you a private order? Curious because everyone's order/delivery process is so different!

Doesn't appear to be a set timeline for the delivery process (as we all know). I've seen people find out they have a hidden VIN and then receive a delivery date within a couple of days. Others 7-14 days later. Appears to be a marked difference between private orders and Lease/third party orders...

Just seen on Twitter a german owner with a new non-USS car and who has the new update 2022.40.4 (which is suppose to include Vision Park Assist) and they are reporting no chimes or measurements. 😞

I ordered from a brand called "Basenor" for reference. Actually paid more than the official accessories but can't comment on the fit in the car as awaiting delivery!

Agreed although it's worth noting (as far as I know) the official Tesla accessories do not include cut outs for cabling management or 12V hole for the rear tray? The Amazon ones I have bought (expecting to sell out) do include these and feel really study and well made.

I'm still waiting for lease company to authorise and finalise everything their end. Tesla said 7 days from last Saturday was the time limit to get things sorted. Feel so close and yet so far waiting for this delivery text.

12th July for authorisation for delivery? Sounds like my lease company have been caught napping. Tesla told me at the weekend I had a VIN assigned and that the lease company still needed to authorise before proceeding any further.

Still waiting on my lease company to authorise. Apparently I won't hear anything further until this is done within 7 days. So I'll be probably receiving my delivery date at much shorter notice.

I've got hidden VIN on Saturday but no text as its with the Lease company to authorise with funders. Sounds like end of November delivery all being well.

Yeah three or four times a month :). Just averaging and working out roughly what the difference might be if I switch for the purposes of calculation.

Thanks for clarifying. Most of my driving is long journeys requiring 100% charges ready. But yes if I take the above approach it's roughly a £16 saving a month by moving to IO. That is assuming I'll be using off-peak to charge all of the time which is unlikely so another scenario is assuming...

Thanks for the advice. I don't yet but hopefully taking delivery in next month or so. I will keep it plugged in most of the time but had to make some assumptions for the calculations at this stage.

Haha. If the battery is 60kWh isn't it just 60 x 10p /100? Then account for 6 hours on off-peak tariff and then 2.6hours on peak tariff as 60/7 = 8.6 hours to charge a 60kWh battery at 7kw?

Does anyone know if EDDs drop down to two weeks the closer we get to delivery? I'm sure it's been asked here before but how long before delivery do Tesla send a message to arrange a delivery day? Assume the delivery day is a couple of days in amongst the EDD range.

I like the ideas here - it could be either ship in this regard. Does anyone know when and how VINS are assigned on ships? It could be case of multiple VIN drops each week for the same ship? Would explain the spread-out nature of VIN assignment.
