Model 3 salvage rebuild. The HV stopped working after failed software update. I have a 2021 model 3 RWD.

Thanks for the feedback. I took me a bit to get it all done. The front middle impact sensor was a bit of an issue because the I didn’t get any mount for this sensor. Tesla doesn’t sell it separately. I bought one off EBay however for my 2021 it’s a different sensor and mount. The parts guy at my...

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

Update I put a new sensor in the front right. It cleared the a355 code. But now it shows code a352. I put the 1473445 sensor in the center, maybe it needs the 1095699 part.

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

1095699-00-A ACCEL SENSOR, KEY-C 1473445-00-A Single Axis, 480g, Crash Accel, Perp. Per codes I think 143445 goes in the front center position. 1095699 fits in the front left position.

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

Well now I am a bit confused. I see 2 different types of brackets. One is black and one silver. And the parts list shows 2 different sensor part numbers. The alignment oblong peg has a different orientation on each of the sensors.

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

I finally got the above bracket and installed the sensor. However I only got 1 replacement sensor and need another one to fix the error. Heading to Tesla on Monday to buy another sensor. To see if this will fix it.

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

Just finding it hard to find the center mount without buying another Beam. Tesla doesn’t sell that part. And for some reason the new one I bought on EBay didn’t have it. I have seen other new ones on there that also don’t have it.

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

Tesla left the car in service mode when I got some parts and took a pic of the screen. Looks like RCM2_a355 is the left front impact sensor. RCM2_ a002 is the airbag not armed. Not sure if fixing the sensor will fix a002. But I did notice the center sensor is not mounted. The bracket is missing...

Safety Restraint system fault Codes RMC2_a355 & RMC2_a002

I am new to Tesla. I bought a Salvage Model 3. I am fixing it. Finally after months and thousands of dollars I am finally down to 2 codes. I am ver surprised a full list of codes and possible causes are not found anywhere. So any help anyone can provide would be helpful. I replaced the airbags...

Model 3 salvage rebuild. The HV stopped working after failed software update. I have a 2021 model 3 RWD.

I asked that question too but was told the it requires another accident to blow it. It only blows with airbag deployment. I think I bricked the second HV computer. The software update died in near the end of the installation.

Releasing the front/rear wheels with no power or blown pyro fuse

So I took the rear tires off. I disconnected the power to the parking brake motors. Then connected wires to the terminals. With jumper cables it powered the motor. Swapping the neg/pos if the caliper didn’t loosen. Till the wheels could move. I left them disconnected and put the tires back on...

Releasing the front/rear wheels with no power or blown pyro fuse

I am having issues getting mine into towing mode. I connect the 12v the front computer comes on. The tow option is greyed out. The high voltage will not connect. Driver side doors work but passenger side will not. It was working but did a software update that failed. Now the high voltage will...
