We picked up our 2023 MYP (Black/White) today. Love the car! Build quality is wayyyy better than our 2021 MYLR.

I think what's happening is some locations are abiding by the "don't deliver w/o regulatory approval" and others either don't care or somehow aren't diligent enough to know that they aren't supposed to deliver.

Absolutely! I don't think it's real time - but couple that information with the fact that Tesla is holding some deliveries of Model Y means there is some approval they are missing.

You can check the EPA's website and see that they haven't released the certificate of conformity for 2023 Model Y (all trim levels) and the 2023 Model S Plaid.

What's most frustrating is is appears some locations don't care about needing EPA approval - multiple people have taken delivery of 2023 Ys on the forum, but some do.

Haha interesting - let us know when you get it! My store told me that they physically can't let go of 2023 MYP because of regulatory approvals. I wonder if your location doesn't care or if mine is uninformed or what. Congrats, regardless!

What's odd is DOT88 got their car (if I'm reading their VIN right) from Fremont and it's a 2023 MYLR 7 seater ... so maybe just MYP are waiting on approvals still? Or their local Tesla didn't comply with regulatory approvals haha.

We ordered a MYP on 07/09 (Red/White/No FSD) in Denver, CO. EDD has never changed for us: 09/12 - 10/17. Hopefully it’ll move some soon!
