In terms of pulling dates forward, I asked for it and they said plain no. I am delivery, on 27 Sep, asked if date could be earlier if I would to collect instead and they said the only date for me is the 27th regardless of how I take the car.

It does not have a built in one but an external device (or rods) can be installed along with the socket. In my case the sub board that would feed the the socket, has PEN fault protection on it.

Thanks. It's good to know that between now and the excruciatingly long 4 weeks until delivery day, I have one more stage to look forward to in form of a VIN and reg#.

Just when I read yout reply I got a text from Tesla that delivery is happening on 27-Sep. So maybe it helped :) No other info though about a vin and nothing from Lex (albeit they probably process these updates manually on their end so it may take a while till the change appears in their system).
