Yes but the point is their dates are fictitious - the Tesla website may say that when you order (as it did for me last week) but the reality is they do not deliver cars from China within a few weeks of ordering. I wish they would just be honest and say 'three to six months' at the start and then...

I think these Tesla EDD's are a practical joke. I placed my order at the end of last month, ie; less than two weeks ago and its saying 16 Nov - 2 Dec for me. Thats better than some who ordered up to four months ago.

Haha well sometimes that can't be helped. But the reality is I have a low boredom threshold with cars and a very high level of curiosity for whats out there - result - frequent changes!

I'm not sure thats quite the case yet! We have the following on order: August 2021: VW Tiguan R-Line - no build date 14 months later (dealer saying probably 2023). December 2021: LR Defender - original build date 21/10 cancelled, just been advised new build date 21/2/23

My plan for March next year onwards was to change cars to a new one every six months and fund the depreciation....

Can anyone tell me how to get that screenshot page by 'Russty' above please? My app screen does not look like that and I'm trying to find the facility to edit the design which shows on that screen (as well as a facility to download a PDF). Going to 'My Account' does not seem to present anything...

The reason they do it as they are looking for another car to line up with and make the parking task easier. They use your car to line up their door mirror with yours. If your car is parked on its own it makes their job even easier as there is nothing else for them to hit!

Wow - I have never paid hundreds of pounds for GAP - maybe the car value is raising the price? I have it on a 72 plate Audi A5 (£42k list) for £80 for one year. Or are you getting a long policy (three years)?

Be careful relying on main insurers replacement car cover - on the policies I have had it always says (in the small print) 'we will replace your car with a new one of the same model, if available' - or similar wording. I am not sure there are brand new Tesla's (or pretty much any other car)...

OK thanks for that - I will try giving them a call. Spec would be MSM with the black 20" 'induction' wheels, black interior, as that just seems to look right to me.
