Is this site dead in the water?

Is this SC site dead in the water? It's been "coming" for over 400 days.

Progress. Looks like they’re closing in. Hosing down stations, prepping for paving (I believe.), etc. I didn’t see a transformer per se but with 30+ spots there may be something I didn’t recognize. There was a large cabinet with warning signs but nothing hooked up. I would think there’s a chance...

I did a week ago and while they are definitely working, not a lot to show yet. A month away at least, I'd say.

This is as of this morning, March 24, 2023. About half the stalls are peeking out of the ground. I'm sure there's at least a month of work to go. But this one will be a biggie. One photo.

Was through there yesterday (Thanksgiving Saturday) and it was humming. Had about a five-minute wait and charged to 90 percent to make sure I made it to Indio. The line got up to six or seven but I suspect the longest wait was ten minutes. The wait at Carl’s Junior was about a half hour! All in...

Still no transformer.

Sites are only posted on Tesla's SC map when they open. No opening yet for this one.

Signage is up, but looks like we're waiting on the transformer. I saw what I thought was the transformer over by the posts but that could be for a preexisting purpose over next to a parking structure.

Lots going on in Anaheim. Posts are up and some serious paving going on. Might be open in a couple more weeks.

Fullerton is now open for biz. And I got to put a fourth notch in my belt first to charge at a particular charger adding to previous ones in Santa Ana (2) and San Clemente.

Dropped by today. Striping has been d I’llne but no signage. There seems to be some work going on with the cabinets as I saw a coil or two of wire.

Fence is gone. I didn't take photos as I figured I'd wait to see the striping. But, as best I could tell, that's all that remains. Of course, looks are often deceiving.

I blew the above one. Was talking about the one in Legacy next to the Stater Brothers. I'm old. I screw up a lot!!

I was there about 1 p.m. today. Looks complete except for striping. The transformer appears there as well.

I was there at noon or so today with only 4 occupied. Sometimes it's totally full.

I'm not seeing the new Tustin site on supercharge.info. Am I missing something?

Some activity in Anaheim taken today 8/29/22. It appears that trenching has begun. No sign of equipment or other materials.

I went by the new Tustin Supercharger location to see progress. I found that most of the stalls are installed. Two of them will be remote from the other 10 to allow for handicap and perhaps van access. I am not sure how a van could be accommodated with a pull-through rig but I will be patient...

OK, found it. Taken about 5:30 7/27/22.

Dropped by the site last evening. It's well under construction. Having issues with uploading image. I'll probably not get to it until late today.

Maybe there should be a sunset clause for all permit sites on Supercharge.info, say 365 days, after which the site is removed. It can always be reactivated but it seems a tad misleading to keep the thing alive.

Interesting as I was there about 3:30 to 4:00 yesterday and it didn't seem changed one whit from when I was there just under two weeks ago. In fact, one of the construction vehicles was parked in exactly the same way. And, I saw no evidence of landscaping or striping. Just want to clear up my...

I went by today (8/26/21) about noon. Some stalls are up but covered with bags. I will try to post photos but it was very bright and I couldn't see the phone very well as I was holding it above the construction fence.

Actually, I measured them. Down .001 milimeters!!! Hahah.

I drove by yesterday and saw no change from about three weeks ago.

Just to echo the posting by rckybbby, landscaping is about done, according to a worker I spoke with from a landscaping contractor about midday today. All they were doing was sweeping up the paved area. He had no idea about opening, of course. I did not see any evidence of a transformer. So...

It's downtown and geared to commuting workers for the county, courts, city, etc., very few of whom are working nowadays. And, to boot, there is a ton of street work going on. When the pandemic lifts, I'm sure there will be much more "traffic."

They mean the first half-hour after the grace period. Just trying to not penalize someone for a full hour when they miss the grace period by a tad. Lots of restaurants around the parking lot so they don't want to get patrons irritated unnecessarily.

We have blastoff!! Guard said it opened this morning and I am the first to charge. While three doesn't put me in the major leagues, not bad for a geezer!

I went by the Supercharger under construction about noonish today. It appears to be complete, with 20 urban chargers, most under plastic cover. Let's say I suspect with reasonable certainty that we'll see the station open before we're eating turkey and my best guess is sometime between Thursday...

Half the stalls are in and 10 of the hooded things. See below. We're on the way.

Just to be clear on the title, it was first reported as underway on Sept. 25, and it was probably going a couple of weeks before that. I'm watching it.
