Lease cars don't show up in the account because you don't technically 'own' the car

Interesting! Mine is getting delivered and I wondered how they'd do it. Was hoping they weren't gonna turn up on my tiny road with a massive truck with 20 cars on. So that sounds much more reassuring. Painless process overall though? Did the guy show you how to do anything?

It's possible I have the wrong end of the stick...I've tried to resist going down the rabbit hole of tracking boats etc but from what I believe, if you have a VIN then you can work it out because there's a batch number within the string of digits...I might be wrong so don't quote me...

Also same situation. Been told I have a VIN but they won't give it me so I can't work out which boat I'm on. Just told to expect the delivery confirmation SMS in the next week or so. End seems to be in sight though.

Interesting...told by Octopus that I have a VIN, expecting mid December to get it, and to look out for a delivery text soon so that would tie in nicely. Morning Cello it is then.

I have a VIN! Apparently...they wouldn't tell me over the phone...but I have been allocated a M3RWD from whatever boat is due to dock in the next week or so. Lease order so I can't do any of that hidden VIN magic searching. Daley as Tesla reckons I should get it mid December. We'll see...

Also if anyone is interested...this isn't an option. Apparently the cars for inventory aren't even in the UK yet and are still on a boat somewhere so nothing to be gained by transferring everything to an inventory order.

RWD...it's the 2022 one I tried too. The only other EV I've driven was a test of a Cupra Born which was a decent little car but the M3 is on a different planet compared.

Yeah Octopus did the same, basically got a mail saying "you won't be getting USS" - this happened about a week after order (late Sept) and that's the last I've heard of it.

Mine is a lease too, from Octopus, and there's similarly nothing in my Tesla account. I spoke to someone on the chat there earlier with my RN though and he said it's all fine. EDD is Jan to March.

I can't help sorry buddy but can relate...also ordered through Octopus salary sacrifice and the lack of information is SO frustrating. It's all so vague.

Thanks for the reply. Wonder if it's more likely to be the end of the quarter...from what I've seen on here the deliveries all land then. Tesla themselves have been very quiet...I got the initial mail asking me to set up my account, create a password etc but absolutely nothing since 😬

Anyone got experience ordering through the Octopus salary sacrifice scheme? Ordered M3 RWD blue black black in Sept, and the guy there says it's a 'secured stock' order so delivery in Jan-Mar is realistic. Seems too good to be true...anyone else got theirs through Octopus?
