Yes, there were some clouds at the tail end of April 14th, around 6:45pm. Around then I am typically down to 2.1kW production. It probably impacted slightly. I actually seem to have had more high clouds on the highest production day, April 13th, throughout most of the afternoon.

Yeah, don't think an inverter would run consistently at 165% production. The 7.6kW inverters barely do 125%. Plus, unless you have giant magnifying lenses pointed at your panels, not likely that 4.8kW of panels will produce 6.1kW.

From my experience, this is normal. My reserve is set at 20%, and on those times I reach that threshold (sometime in the middle of the night usually), by morning the PWs are down to 18 or 17%.

There is not any feedback for the PWs provided from the units themselves. The communication wires to the gateway relate all the PW status. I suppose it is possible to get the green glow if you hook it up and power it on, but I've never done that so can't say for sure.

The gateway is the controller for the PWs, there are communication control wires that connect the two. Hopefully the unit has not been sitting for a long time, a zero charge could make it a very large paperweight...

I think something might not be setup properly. Mine is similar to yours in graphs, but it only shows 1% for grid. The 1% makes up for the occasional sync/spike draws.

Just a note, when the PWs are charging, there is fan noise. At least there is with the PW2s. That may be annoying for someone working nearby.

@morbidz is right, most realtors will tell their prospective buyers to run away from residual loans, especially solar. Your best bet is to calculate paying it off and asking a higher sales price to compensate.

If you are using the Powerwalls as solar consumption/backup only, the throughput limit does not apply. It is only for those using them outside of those parameters, perhaps VPP or other.

My powerwalls all started at just over 15.2kWh at install. At 19 months, they are each between 14.3 and 14.6, so just over 6% degradation from the original starting kWh, but still 107% of warranted capacity (13.5kWh in US). Mine are set to 20% reserve, but typically drain to about 50% at night...

My system was installed in August, 2022, but PTO didn't happen until January, 2023. Taking my tax attorney's advice, I went with the installation date. That is the warranty start date, not when it is billed or invoiced.

My experience with Tesla direct is they have switched to mostly using their own T400 series panels. I'm not sure who manufactures them for Tesla, but they swapped out the Qcells with T400s on my install about 1.5 years ago. The installer said they are moving towards the full Tesla product line...

I'm sure it is collecting the granular data, but only graphing for every 15 minutes. Probably saves them a lot of CPU cycles for their Azure or Amazon hosting, only having to process and display 4 points versus 60 every hour.

It looks like Enphase averages its graph display over 15 minutes increments, so you miss the peaks and valleys.

Could it be that the load CTs are pulling wattage from the other non-backed-up panel(s)? Your first screenshot is not showing you pulling from the grid, but your second screenshot is showing you are. I'm thinking a CT placement issue possibly.

What is your Powerwall reserve set to? Unless they are set at 100%, they should be providing power to the house. It would appear that it is acting like reserve is set at 100%, as you see the grid usage reduce once the sun comes out. However, it should reduce to zero, unless your house is...

I'm using the 'dummy' system - I've got a Unifi EV Station, that I set to allow charging from 1:30pm to 5:30pm daily. Typically by 1:30pm my 4 PWs are full and I start exporting. However, if it is a cloudy day, I have this automated process that disconnects the car (it's called 'sneaker-net').

You mention a UPS, which may be why your system only increased frequency to 62Hz. The default is ~65Hz, however you can contact Tesla to have that reduced to keep more sensitive devices like UPS from thinking they are still offline. I did that for mine, and my frequency shift is only to 62Hz...

I have PW2s, 2 7.6Kw inverters (pre-PW+) and a Gateway v2. I guess PW3s are more complicated with their inverters.

Curious what Tesla did for Inverters on your system. Two 7.6kW, or one 7.6kW and one 3.6kW, etc?
