The only feature MyQ provides is the door open/close status. A $20 generic wifi garage door controller from Amazon can do that for $0 per year. I'm happy with a $150 ebay Homelink to control the door in my Tesla then using the $20 door controller for the status, if I really need to know.

I went with a generic 1/8" thick plate off of ebay for around $200. Everything else was sold out or had super long delivery times. The quality seems acceptable and fitment was just fine. So far, so good!

I agree with Android04. Reuse the plate as long as it isn't wildly deformed. Check the spots where it attaches for cracks or deformity. If there are none, I'd hit the scratched areas with some Herculiner spray and put it back on.

There are 1/8" thick aluminum front plates on ebay for under $200. I've been thinking of getting a Tesla for years and in our household my vehicle tends to be the roadtripper. Just seems like the thing that can make a difference when you least expect it.

I ordered my MYP (w/EAP MSM) on 10/14. I'm def anxious for my VIN. Is it accurate to guess color,config, and location are the factors that may slow a MYP delivery?
