My local shop (Northern Cal) did a single sheet ceramic (15%). It took about 3 hours for the rear window. I ended up doing 15% for the rear side and back and 35% for the front side.

Buyers are "locked-in" for the $250 nonrefundable deposit, which they could easily walk away from. I know several people that cancelled their orders. Tesla probably didn't want people to walk away and end up with more inventory. A good move on their part.

Buyers that don't qualify for the tax credit (income limit) would greatly benefit from the current discount instead of waiting for Jan or later delivery.

I don't think Tesla had a choice. People would have cancelled their order and placed a new order to get the discount. When I picked up my LR in mid Nov from Fremont, CA, there were close to 1000 new vehicles sitting on the lot. Wonder how bad the cancellation rate is for them to finally offer...

For CA drivers out there, are you mounting your front license plates? I see about 80% in my area without front plates. I was planning to follow “the law” but the OEM double sided tape plate holder looks so cheap. The Quick Bandit is nice but not sure if it’s worth the price. Thanks

I had something similar on the base of the rear door. It looked like adhesive but mine was not the same color. I was able to rub most of it off with mild soap.

Bummer. Luckily I am 20 mins away from the Fremont plant. I have another LR order (existing inventory) with the exact configuration and I asked why they didn’t just automatically match the available LR to my order. Got the run around. Can’t say dealing with them has been fun.

There are a few LRs available for delivery now! I was able to swap an SR pending order (EDD Nov-Dec) for an LR just right now. Delivery is set for 11/9. I am beyond excited. I have another LR order (from existng inventory) which I will cancel once this one is picked up.

My M3LR EDD also moved a bit this morning. Order date was 10/7. Original EDD was 10/27-11/24. New EDD 10/30-11/22. I guess it's a good sign.
