That's kind of what I was thinking. Maybe they do it so that it accounts for transport time but you receive the models with the same numbers around the same time

I'm curious what delivery center you went to? I'm picking up a 589 tomorrow from Monterey, which is very close to Fremont. That was about the earliest time available too, which leads me to believe it rolled off the line within the last few days

That won't work for me cause I'm already well past my original EDD. Ordered last year, and 8k cheaper.

Just asked the delivery guy for as much time as he'd give me. I was hoping for more time but luckily it did at least result in a 2023 vin assignment
