My Model Y has been delayed three times, with the last delay resulting in a VIN number change. I ordered in mid-January. Expected delivery in Auckland is currently Mar 2nd-23rd, but I'm not holding my breath.

I got the same email. The updated order agreement showed a price reduction of $300 for my Model Y. LOL. Hardly in the same ballpark as the Model 3. Hopefully that's a mistake and it's actually a little more substantial.

I think Daniel was referring to Ultrasonic sensors, which have been removed from newer model 3s, but continue to function in older models, although Tesla does plan to move completely to vision based park assist and close object detection it hasn't yet, and those modes currently don't function on...

Interesting, and good to know. I got a "Vehicle Assigned" email from Tesla, but it didn't list the VIN nor mention anything about cameras and sensors. I was able to determine the VIN through the chrome browser extension that greps your account page.

I was scheduled for 2-16 December but got an email saying my scheduled delivery will be somewhere between mid-December to mid-January, but the time frame given to me from the tesla site still shows original timeframe.
