Sunny Sun Sun - My first Tesla road trip from UK to Spain

Excellent write up. I've done the ferry to Bilbao or Santander from Portsmouth then driven across Spain to either L'Estartit or Cambrils a few times now. Usually stop at the Rivebellosa and Zaragoza SCs. I think it adds about 60 mins to the journey. ABRP thinks you can make it from Bilbao to...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Absolutely agree. It would make my life so much easier so I'd happily pay. Unfortunately from what I see on my daily commute (A43, M40) and other major routes (Mostly M1, M25, M11) it's not even close.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

A typical view from my rear camera following a trip down the M40 in winter. Good luck with that Tesla Vision.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

My cameras aren't great in the dark, especially the one on the boot. It could be due to the reversing light being quite dim. In my previous car I could easily reverse into my drive using the cameras but it's a lot harder with my M3.

Updated car - autopilot no longer works at night?

apologies, >2k miles per month, not per week. Same issue again this morning.

Updated car - autopilot no longer works at night?

Since recent updates I haven't done a single journey without the AP speed reducing due to poor visibility. That and constantly being told erroneously that cameras are blocked makes the system much worse than it used to be. I do >2k miles per week.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

I used to enthuse about my Tesla to my family and friends but after the last few updates not any more. On the drive to work this morning multiple cameras blocked and Autopilot kept reducing speed due to visibility. Due to the spray and the dirt on the roads the reversing camera was useless when...

What made you choose a Tesla?

I chose a Tesla over other EVs due to the Supercharger network, the good efficiency and the product seemed more mature than others. I'm now doubting the last reason.

Has tesla de-activated radar on my model 3

Good point (and Andy above) could be condensation or frost on the cameras. Not sure how you solve this. They probably need a supplemental system other than just cameras...............

Has tesla de-activated radar on my model 3

My car kept reducing the cruise control speed this morning due to bad visibility. It was perfectly clear and dry. I intervened before it could reduce by more than 10 mph.

Getting a bit cheesed off with software glitches

I had someone at Tesla tell me quite forcefully my malfunctioning air conditioning was nothing to do with the windscreen replacement they carried out. Totally wrong.

Getting a bit cheesed off with software glitches

Good news - Speed limits on motorways are now back! Bad news - Kept reducing the cruise control speed due to supposed bad visibility on a perfectly clear and dry morning.

Has tesla de-activated radar on my model 3

Also my distance setting used to be 1-3 but is now 1-5 but I can only use 2-5. Is this for the same reason?

Has tesla de-activated radar on my model 3

So that's why I've been getting this message! Never seen it before the recent update.

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

I wouldn't have got my M3LR if the ultrasonic sensors had been removed. It's not only the sensors themselves but the intent it shows on the part of Tesla. They are willing to remove features and give their customers a worse product (even temporarily) to save money. Tesla do not make cheap cars -...

    My speed limits have gone

    Didn't help I'm afraid.

Getting a bit cheesed off with software glitches

Thanks for all the replies. Seems there's a considerable amount of frustration with Tesla's front end software but a lot of respect for what is going on regarding battery management etc. Tesla still wins for me over other EVs mainly due to the Supercharger network and (to a lesser extent) their...

Getting a bit cheesed off with software glitches

Thanks, I'll take a look. I'm on 2022.40.4.2 which I think is the latest.

Model 3 rattles and vibrations, am I being unreasonable?

No, you're not being unreasonable. Your car shouldn't rattle and if it does they should fix it for you. I hate rattles but fortunately mine has been ok. Had a few but always traced to the passenger door storage bin or the centre console. Saying that, the stereo can produce way more bass than...

Getting a bit cheesed off with software glitches

New member here. I genuinely like my M3LR but lately I'm getting really cheesed off with all the software glitches. In the last week I've had:- -Cruise control refused to work for an entire 50 mile journey. -Mobile phone wouldn't connect until I did the 2 button reset. -Mobile phone wouldn't...

    My speed limits have gone

Exactly the same here. Only speed limits I get on the motorway are when there is a speed limit sign. Getting a bit fed up with all the software issues.
