I had a mobile tech install. Pretty easy to do - remove rear bumper, remove cross brace and install the tow bar. Took a couple of hours, including activating the software for the tow hitch.

Well, the rear of my December Austin MY was off today for a tow hitch install. The bumper has the markings on the back side for the Ultrasonic sensors - just not drilled. Also, the harness on the frame appears to have a socket where the USS should connect to with a cap on the connector.

The tires are currently mounted to the wheels - so at this time, looking to sell as a set.

IMO, Model S and X were overpriced - those cars are not in the realm of the everyday buyer. Out of the Model 3 and Y, the MYLR was absolutely dropped to be below the tax credit limit. Tesla had no reason (outside of the tax credit stuff) to drop prices on the MYLR beyond what they did at the...

I was one of these too - but the facts are that with the end of year discounting Tesla pretty much sold all the MY and M3 they had to sell (available inventory was hovering under 100 cars for the whole of the US for the MY at the end of year). That proved that a $60k price point for a MY LR...

No, it doesn't - I suspect prices there were just too damn high. But, specifically, the MY has been targeted at that $55k limit.

Late December buyer here so screwed but not as royally screwed as everybody who bought prior to the end of year discounting. It certainly seems that although price cuts are worldwide, the US MY pricing has been driven by the MY needing to be under the $55k limit to qualify for the tax credit...

I'm selling a set of four Gemini Wheels off a model Y. Wheels and tires were removed at 310 miles, no damage, punctures or repairs and full tread. Comes with the Gemini covers and bluetooth sensors (i.e. complete and ready to be installed). Located near Morristown NJ. $2,100 for the set.

Any clue what the mix/match does for you vs running one or the other?

Yes, although in this case it does seem to be following a logical Year/Month/Day sequence. I wonder if it being "V2" is significant vs V1. I have a 2nd page of the menu now with the PLAID animation able to be toggled on/off.

OK - just installed. Very easy modification (albeit that you have to tug at a few clips around the steering column pretty hard). Screen looks great now to see if Hansshow can produce a firmware that has "MPH" vs "MP/H". The screen is small but the main thing is the speed display - having that...

It does update. I charged yesterday and the remaining miles updated instantly.

Well, I dumped the update file to see what was in the larger package. Looks like a load of JPEG files, and there is a video file. Haven't dug into it much more than that but I think we will be dependent on Hansshow to update.

Revisiting this thread - will 275/40 fit without rubbing on the R241 9.5 wheels with 45 offset?

I'm switching out the 19" Gemini wheels for Replika R241s (mainly as I don't like the look of the silver trims on the midnight grey paint). I've read lots of threads on wheel/tire combinations and want to make sure that I'm making the right decision. So, the question is what tire size options...

Hmmn.... I'm thinking that the Fremont and Austin builds are using different part numbers...... the FR damper on my MY LR (VIN PA044xxx) is p/n 2288367-00-A. That doesn't match the alleged "comfort" parts that are 1188xxx-00-H. In the parts manual, some parts are clearly marked "AUSTIN"...

Haven't taken delivery yet but have seen my PA044XXX and it doesn't have matrix lights.

The plan is still to take delivery before the year end. Allegedly the parts arrive Wednesday and pickup scheduled for Thursday now. It only becomes an issue if Tesla can't deliver for some reason. Nobody wants to consider that (not even the SC folks).... so we are all working on the basis that...

I've done a bit of research. It would seem there about 30 Model Ys available in the whole US now. Watching the NYC market, cars pop up occasionally but are lasting minutes up to a max of 30 minutes before they are gone!

I won't give the full VIN for obvious reasons - but it is 448XX. I've just checked the window sticker that I'd forgotten I'd snapped a picture of and can confirm the build date as 12/2022. John

@EightBitWhit Do you mind me asking which specific Hansshow parts you ordered? I've landed here but the phrasing "door cap" has me worried that it's not the clipped part but a cap with adhesive. I've hopefully got a MY23 coming and want to switch out the wood to CF. Cheers!
