But are you calculating that the megapack price has gone from $482/kWh last April to $266/kWh today? I'd have to assume that profit $ /kWh has to come down somewhat also.

I got VIN 21,7xx last night or the day before (no email, it just showed up in my app). Don't know if someone can figure out the math. Also there was a $2k price cut on the X/S sometime last month.

"Musskiah said: Demand was not nearly as soft in Q1 as some insinuated. That's the point. Those sales were realized in Q2." I just did the math for what you said. Accounting and maths are hard

So by your logic deduct the 46k overproduction in Q1 and subtract it from Q2 sales, which puts Q2 sales at 398,000.

No. They are not 'free' from inventory. They go to inventory as an 'asset' on the Balance Sheet. They get 'costed' by going to COGS in the quarter they are sold. Inventory will help cash flow though in the Q sold.

They drastically cut production to match demand, which was out of necessity along with all the job cuts. They still have a historically large # in inventory, although still low compared to traditional auto. Also, selling inventory vehicles doesn't mean the revenue goes 100% to profit. Inventory...

ARK just got lucky on the share price and the analysis to get the price was a dumpster fire and way off. They had huge robotaxi profits and revenue and like 10M car sales by now. They are no better than a college kid project.

correct, it doesn't qualify for tax credit. It's based on MSRP. Otherwise there would be lots of gaming the system.

$7,500 tax credit is based on the MSRP being $80k or under. Discounts of any kind do not lower the MSRP, so it doesn't qualify because they discount it.

Your cost of solar is off by 100%. I have 5 quotes for 10kW all over $30k. Don't count the tax credit, because that doesn't change the price I have to pay the installer. And electricity is closer to .18/kWh for me so solar is a 12 year payback, but I'm paying it all up front in today's dollars.
