People gets invited to configure couple days after putting down a deposit, I don't see a benefit holding onto the reservation, other than giving Tesla a free loan.

Tesla doesn't even bother to send us an email that Design Studio is available now. A P90D is more expensive than SigX configured earlier this year only because Tesla made us wait longer...not impressed.

US Production X reservation from beginning of 2016 even got invited to configure already. I really don't see a reason why we could not get invited sooner.
