Arriving at a supercharger with a stone cold battery will ultimately use the same amount of power as pre-conditining surely? The battery needs to be above a certain temp to charge efficiently. What you sacrifice in efficiency while driving to the charger with battery heater on, you gain in kWhs...

I'm not sure the line between moderation and personal opinion is very clear when it comes to RSEV

I think RSEV do a good job of reviewing EVs, the videos are generally balanced and informative.

Octopus confirmed all my charging in the last month has also been off peak rate, no explanation as to what's changed though 😂

My bill for aug-sept came today and all my charging sessions are on the cheap rate. But the billing period end 7th sept which is before the behaviour changed I think so not very helpful. I'm going to give octopus a call I think

Could be, Octopus force us to use their integration though .. that will be my argument

I've been using ohme and IO for 6 months and if it says smart charging on that graph, you're getting the off peak rate. If it says max power, you're not. I've checked my bills from octopus to confirm.
