I lost to Tesla in Arbitration

Stop talking to Tesla and find a lawyer, however it’s unlikely you would find one due to the previous 5 failed attempts.. You’ve made many mistakes.. Listening to the sales pitch, the highland news was all over the places by the time you took delivery. Tesla's Worst-Kept Secret: A Comprehensive...

Good Riddance: The '22 Tesla Model S Plaid Saga Comes to an End

I totally agree—if your car has been problem-free for the first month, you lucky bastard have clearly missed out on the full hardware QA experience. My own rollercoaster started within a week of delivery. Sure, some remedies seemed to help at first, but they were more like slapping a band-aid on...

Good Riddance: The '22 Tesla Model S Plaid Saga Comes to an End

Today marks the end of an era, or rather, the end of a rather tumultuous relationship with my '22 Tesla MS Plaid. After 21 months, 8,000 miles, and more trips back to the shop than I care to count, the car is finally being picked up by Tesla. It's been a ride filled with more drama than a...

Used Plaid market... Are 2021 Model to avoid ?

Get full service records, test drive the car. If you want to buy sight unseen, stick to late 2023 build after the ultra red release.

    Fair Price 2023 Model S

Red on white, 21 inches are not exactly great for resale. In fact you will probably have a hard time even at the same price compared to a black on black. However, you should be able to get 1k - 2k more for FSD selling private.

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

I have to move the plaid once in a while - still waiting for Tesla to pick it up for the repurchase. That smell is sour and rancid. Guess I was blinded by the acceleration. Never have I had a car smells like this after a rain yet is still considered within specs.

Any advantage buying used from Tesla?

If loaner cars were in similar condition, you are in for a surprise buying sight unseen from them. I looked at “Cosmetic and Mechanical Standards”, and noped the hell out of an inventory demo.

New 2022 MS LR owner, very happy compared with M3

I think 2023s are better than 2022s especially those before 2022/05. Just look at the doors and the gaps, the black windows trims were never aligned

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

In 2022, when the average cost of a MSP, unadorned by the FSD / Elmo tax, was a mere trifle at $119,990. In 4 years which is 2026, you'd probably need to throw in a complimentary charging cable and a heartfelt plea to get someone to take it off your hands for $65,000, assuming it's still in...

The 2 Best Days In a Plaid Owner’s Life

In 3 years, it will probably still come ahead of the plaid or guys who bought a plaid 2022 - early 2023.

Tesla sales rep told me my order will not be delivered or honored since price increased

Is you order canceled or still open? The Sales guys will lie about anything to get you take delivery sooner. Historically, once previous MY ends, it will move on to the next MY automatically. Unless there are changes that affect the product negatively, then you will have to agree to their new...

    How "rattly" is the Plaid?

My 22 MSP had all the rattles before it was bought back - 40mph steering column, front suspension passenger side, passenger seat back, rear seats headrests, rear seat latches… there’s also the whistling noise above 70mph and a broken window regulator that lowers/raises the rear passenger side...

    Model S Highway Range

MSP on 19s. Per teslafi, It did 300 Wh/mi @ avg 74 mph and 325 Wh/mi @ avg 82 mph. So roughly 270-300 mi on a 90% charge for me in California.

2021 Refresh Model S Rear Creaking

noise came back a month later or so, but it was probably the old design.

Tesla Service Center damaged Model S Plaid

unfortunately this is very common when I brought my MSP in for a frunk repair they dented the hood smeared my carpets and white seats with dirty hands and missed a bolt that freaking bolt nut was left in my door pocket and it wasn’t even that small

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

Tesla agreed to repurchase my MSP. Should I get something else or another MSP, 90k is a really reasonable price.

    New Model S build quality

I initially asked for adjustments to the rear bumper because there was a 1 cm gap on the left side near the trunk when I first received the vehicle. Although they rectified this issue at the time, a year later the clips on the rear bumper are coming loose. In addition to that, there are multiple...

Should I reject my current delivery (HW3) for HW4

Please don’t take it. It was likely a reject by someone else, it took the SC a while to get it fixed. Save yourself some time from lemoning it 3 months down the road.

Tesla charged me for warranty service 2022 MSLR

I’m in the same boat. I requested a SC visit for noise and rattle. Here’s the quote of $637 I had to approve. Surely I won’t be approving it until I have spoken to the SC manager. Sure, the chat agent promises not to charge if it’s not impact related. At this point I have no problem lemon the...

    BMW folks comments on Tesla

While I appreciate your perspective on the i4 and m3, I must admit that my experience with the m3p is rather limited, and I have not had the opportunity to drive an i4. However, I did try the EQS in February 2022, and my experience with the EQS left me with a sense of bewilderment. The excessive...

    BMW folks comments on Tesla

Most luxury cars often feel like they are "trying too hard" and usually come across as tacky. It's like comparing a croc skin Vertu to an iPhone.

FYI: My opinion is Model 3 > Model S

Great post, I feel the same about sportiness about S and 3. But my experience was a bit in the reverse, I have a 2022 S P and once got a 3 P as a loaner for about a week. As the driver, I quite liked the 3 if I could ignore the interior for a bit, while my wife wanted to throw up in the...
