I have never had this happened to me. However, you may want to try rebooting the car (press and hold both rolling wheels on the steering wheel for a few seconds and the car will reboot). That often resolves other issues and it may work for this too.

I agree that the term Recall is antiquated, but it's all of the mainstream media, not just Fox News, who loves to trumpet "Recall" for these software updates. They celebrate every chance they get to hate on Musk.

I work in the software inmdustry and see software problems a lot. Patches like this one are very common. The problem was likely introduced in an earlier update. Although the updates are most certainly thoroughly tested, some bugs get through.

I've had the same problem before. When something like that quits working I reboot the car all is good again. That sends to take care of most software problems. The only thing I have to reboot more often is my Windows 11 PC.

I've had my MYLR with 20" Ubertines since February. I've been extremely careful to avoid road rash. Regardless, it happens. These rim protectors would be great and keep the car looking pristine.

This has happened to me, too. When my MYLR receives a software update, some things start to go wonky. I find that I need to do a soft reset (press both rollers on the steering wheel). That usually resolves the problem. Unfortunately, I don't know of what the next steps may be for you.

That's funny. We had the opposite problem last week. We rented a car and kept turning on the windshield wipers when trying to put it in reverse. And having to use a remote to lock and unlock the doors was a pain. All better now, though. We're back home with our MYLR.

Try rebooting (hold down both scroll wheels for a few seconds). That usually clears the issue.

I would buy the MYP now and avoid the additional miles overage, maintenance (brakes and tires at a minimum) and fuel costs. The biggest benefit is that you're in an MYP sooner rather than later.

That update was specifically for HW4. I have HW3 and didn't see that change. Do you have HW3 or HW4?

Try rebooting the car. Press and hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel. The display will go dark for about 1 or 2 minutes. That's my go-to step when my Model Y LR starts acting strangely.

My 2023 MYLR is on version 2023.32.1 and I don't have the option for Regenenerative Braking. It would be in the Pedals and Steering menu if avaialble.

I also have a 2023 Model Y. No problems with the horn rain or shine. We haven't gotten a lot of rain in southern Colorado lately, though. I hope yours is an isolated incident.

My closest Service Center is 200+ miles away and I'm not nervous about the distance at all. I have had my MYLR six months haven't had to visit them yet. I did look at appointments, though, and it would be easy to schedule if needed.

We had to replace our windshield and went to Safelite. We had an appointment within days and they did a great job. The new windshield is OEM which is great.

I've had to reboot a couple of times since the update. Autopilot wouldn't work once then wipers wouldn't work. Reboots restored each but nuisance to say the least.

Yep - my Model Y in the second photo. I took the photo just after unplugging mine as I was getting ready to leave. I should have taken the photo before unplugging :(. All four chargers work at this hospital. I'm not trying to be a scold - just a message about charging ettiquette.

I always dry my MY thoroughly after washing. I use a microfiber cloth to dry all surfaces and inside door frames. Then an air blower to force any remaining water out of crevices widow frames, etc.. After that, the car stays clean with no streaks.

Have you considered getting a CCS Combo adapter for charging at other DC Fast Chargers? Quite often the CCS rates are much lower than Tesla's SuperCharger rates. It will take you a bit more route planning but the savings may be with effort.

I have the ChargePointe J1772 charger I had for my Niro EV. I've been using it with my MYLR since I took delivery in February. It's been fine for me.

I had to replace my windshield last week on my 14-week old MYLR. Safelite did a great job and didn't hesitate because it's a Tesla. My insurance company, Travelers, arranged it for me.

I had an X1M (xDrive 35i) a few years ago. It was a sweet ride but doesn't come close to my MYLR.
