WIFI gets stuck after leaving house- have to manually turn it off every time.

We have a google/Nest mesh router system. In fast I added a third "wifi point" to the garage just to have a full signal for the vehicles. But we can be driving 5-10 miles from the house and the car is still searching for the wifi signal instead of switching over to cellular.

WIFI gets stuck after leaving house- have to manually turn it off every time.

Yes it is. Maybe it is signed out or something. We're definitely paying for it.

WIFI gets stuck after leaving house- have to manually turn it off every time.

So our '23 model 3 has problem. Every time we leave the house, the car keeps searching for the WIFI signal and navigation, music, everything stops and just acts like it trying to load. We have to select WIFI and turn it off every single trip, then it picks up data from the iPhone and plays...

Tesla Wall Charger won’t go over 32amps? [resolved - model 3 RWD vehicle]

I'm so glad I read this. My new house already has a 50amp circuit for an EV charger and I was thinking about upgrading it to a 60, but that seems to be a waste of effort with a 32a max on a Tesla 3 RWD.

2019 Long range or new 2023 standard range?

I wouldn't buy an electric car if I couldn't charge it at home or work. We just bought a new '23 standard. Plan to charge at home and it will be my wife's commuter and grocery getter. Don't plan to drive more than 50-100 miles a day at most.

Can a family member take delivery for me (power of attorney)

We’re registering in Virginia. Sales person emailed us the DMV forms and a VA POA that doesn’t need a notary. They require wet ink signatures so we overnighted the forms back. Pick up is the 18th. Easy so far.

Can a family member take delivery for me (power of attorney)

I'll let you know in the next week or so. Delivery is scheduled 12-31 March. We just paid for it, just got the VIN, need to set up insurance too. I sent an email to the dealership asking if a POA is good to go. Waiting on a reply.

    3 standard or performance

Good point. She did just order the standard 3. Normally she wants me to deal with all car stuff, she just isn't interested. But she's excited about the Tesla, downloaded the app and ordered it herself!

    3 standard or performance

Don't the 18's look cool if you pop off the plastic hub caps? I couldn't care about the minuscule range hit driving around town. I mentioned the plusses and minus to my wife about everything in this thread. It was pretty funny: The performance has much better audio- "Ehhhhh....." The 20"...

    3 standard or performance

I'm 100% not going to drift the car. I did auto cross and drag race a then-new '04 WRX STI. That was a blast. Maybe if an SCCA Solo event opens up near me, I might borrow the grocery getter to dodge some cones. But power and brakes don't really factor much in solo racing, it's all handling and...

    3 standard or performance

Yeah, there's no test driving. I'm in Japan and plan to order the car to be waiting for us when we get to the states. Mailorder!

    3 standard or performance

Thanks for the info. Still makes my decision tougher. Finicky battery that won't live as long, pot hole prone wheels, expensive brakes, much better audio and of course twice as fast and AWD....

    3 standard or performance

See that's the "hidden list" of what I can't find the performance adds. No articles talk about the sound system, bigger brakes, etc. Do tell. As for charging, we'll charge at home. I'll add a level 2. We still are house shopping, but no matter what we'll have a garage. I need 240 volt outlets...

    3 standard or performance

Well that's a big bonus for the standard! I'm the type of person who likes to charge EVERYTHING to 100%. Sounds like that's the winner for us. Even if I had the performance, my wife would freak out if I tried to accelerate fast. She's very anti-acceleration. Right now I'm in Japan (heading to...

    3 standard or performance

Yes she'll be the daily driver. I have a wrangler rubicon she could take if it snows. So AWD really isn't a need either. Again, if this was MY ride, I'd be all over the performance. But I'm seeing it as $10,000 I can put towards my own truck I want to buy. But I'm little worried about kicking...

    3 standard or performance

I searched and couldn't find a comparison between the base 3 and the performance (they're all LR vs PP). With the price reduction it's a $10k bump to double the power and get AWD. What else is different? I can't find a list. If it was for me, I'd get a performance all day. However, this will be...

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

That's a very likely scenario. So now it comes down to a bean counter at the IRS saying, "sorry, it's not on the list", or they say, "OK, the price dropped, so now it's covered".

Can a family member take delivery for me (power of attorney)

If we decide to buy (really on the fence, but not about the car, but our near term life plans) - I'll just proceed like it's being delivered to me. Pay for it, upload all the documents, and give my parents a POA for the delivery driver so they can sign whatever forms are required on the spot. As...

Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

Tesla's webpage says the 3P qualifies for the $7,500 tax credit until March. However on the IRS webpage, the performance is suspiciously absent from the list of qualified vehicles. Anyone know the truth? I'd hate to toss away $7,500 if it doesn't qualify. Model Year Vehicle Description...

Can a family member take delivery for me (power of attorney)

I wasted the last 30 mins trying to find a way to contact someone at Tesla with no success. We're currently stationed overseas and are interested in ordering a Tesla 3. I'd like to have it delivered to my parents and give them a POA to sign the paperwork and take delivery for us. We'll be there...
