    Same here. VIN received at 7:00am and then a text to schedule delivery came two hours later. I did not upload anything about insurance during that time. Pickup is scheduled for this Thursday 2/16 (Seattle). Original order date was morning of 1/14.

    Thank you for all the responses. To clarify, the question was not about the timing of insurance as it relates to effective coverage -- but about whether Tesla delays the opportunity to schedule your delivery until you upload proof of insurance.

    I'm not sure if this has been covered earlier in this thread... does anyone know if the step of adding insurance will delay the scheduling of your delivery? I'm trying to figure out if I need to rush to add a policy. The beginning of my delivery window is still three days away.

    Congrats!! I hope I'm right behind you. MYLR MSM/Black 5-seater ordered on 1/14 to Seattle. Current EDD shows 2/13-2/27.

    Same here but Seattle OD 1/14, original delivery window was 1/26-2/8, pushed back to 2/6-2/20, then changed day by day until just now updating to 2/13-2/27. Has anyone in WA/OR with an OD before 1/16 received a delivery date?

    We have the same order date, so you've confirmed my hunch that a VIN could arrive any minute now. It's nice to know the pickup is so quick after the VIN is assigned -- as early as this weekend. Awesome :-)

    Does anyone else from Seattle/PNW feel like our VIN assignments are behind schedule compared to other markets? I'm watching everyone's announcements based on their order date and configuration, and it seems like Seattle is behind schedule. I'd love to be wrong about this!

    Same. Original delivery range was 1/25 - 2/8, now 2/6-2/20. At least my new one overlapped with the old one by two days. Ordered 1/14.
