    The way it was calculated was using BOTH the state and federal gas tax. Texas gets back almost 100% of the federal gas tax, which is just under 20c/gallon. So do the calculations with 37c/gallon and the $200 is more reasonable. Sure, it would be better to be mileage based, and even better...

    What tires are you running?

    I just installed Michelin CrossClimate2 ... excellent reviews and ratings on TireRack .. they drive well so far, no noise diffeerence, and I'm not noticing any difference on efficiency .. but I have no long trip on them yet.
