    Intermittent Charging Errors

I have a ClipperCreek HCS-40 hardwired wall charger that I use to charge my Model Y every night. Starting only about a week ago, I wake up to a bunch of error messages from Tesla that charging stopped a couple of times through the night. Error such as "Charging equipment communication lost" and...

    First time in NYC

I discovered that quite a number of parking garages in NYC won't take Teslas. Opinion seems to be split as to whether it's because they've experienced too many times where Tesla drivers forgot to leave the key card and then the garage was stuck with a car they could not drive, or whether it's...

2023 Model Y LR Poor Mileage in real world

I have a 2023 Model Y LR that I got in February. Just in the past few days, the efficiency seems to have dropped quite a lot. The past few days were very humid, so I'm wondering if the A/C was working extra hard and that might have caused the range drop? The battery percentage seems to be...

Clipper creek plus departure charging fail

I have the same issue with my Model Y and the ClipperCreek HCS-40 when using scheduled departure time. (Actually, it's also happened once or twice even when scheduled departure time is not on). One of the ClipperCreek customer support supervisors wrote to me: "We first saw this issue (where a...

MYP slid while parked on a snow-covered driveway

Thanks for the detailed response. So it sounds like my best options are to either get snow tires or do a really good job cleaning the area of snow where I will park my car?

MYP slid while parked on a snow-covered driveway

Right. Maybe I'm misunderstanding this issue, but I thought it occurs when the rear wheels slide on the snow/ice despite the parking brake being on. So I thought that meant the issue was the rear wheels not having sufficient traction to not slide?

MYP slid while parked on a snow-covered driveway

OK. Thanks. Presumably it’s most important for the area under the rear tires to be free of snow and ice?

MYP slid while parked on a snow-covered driveway

I’m waiting on a Model Y LR with 19” all-season tires. Since my driveway is sloped, I have to park on a slope (though a gentle one at the top of the driveway). When it snows, is this slipping issue likely to occur? If so, are there specific wheel chocks you would recommend to prevent it?
